Hey there, have you got any updates? I am in the same boat. It went from “Received at Consulate/Embassy, same is under processingHi All,
Does anyone in this situation?
I have applied for PCC from BLS - Brampton postal application
04-May-2021 docs reached BLS Brampton office
12-May-2021 docs forwarded to Indian Embassy/Consulate
13-May-2021 Application for PCC with applicable fees is received
14-May-2021 PCC application is under review at Indian embassy/consulate - File No. CAT0843.. generated on same day.
Since then no update its been almost 18 calendar days I see same status and police verification is not initiated & haven't received any email from Passport Admin.
Can anyone please suggest how I can proceed, I have emailed to BLS however they replied back stating they have submitted to Indian Consulate and nothing they can do from their end, I have to wait 6-8 weeks for process completion
Note: I have applied for my spouse as well at the same time & same address both of us hold in India, her application got processed as above mentioned dates and 15-May-2021 she received Passport Admin email as well and police verification completed on 19-May-2021, awaiting for status change.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

Hello, Do you have anyone who can go and check at the Police station. In these cases, as i have experienced in mine, the status changes back to review on consulate site but the PCC is initiated with the Police station.
Mine was the same case but I got email directly from police station after two weeks. I will suggest that if you can, have someone go to the police station and check if they have received your file. There is a Passport/PCC division in all police stations. At this time also check with them if your address does indeed fall under that police station. If not, request them to forward it to the right one. It is computerized in most police stations so transferring is not an issue.
That’s what I thought too. My understanding was that once they give “File Number” that basically means the application has been sent to the Police Station. I am assuming the police station only needs file number to find your application?
yes, and Passport number and name. My Wife's parents went to Police station and they found her using just name. So if you can give them Passport Number, Name, And file number just in case, it should be enough.
I have been waiting for PCC to be printed for almost a week now. I applied with bls toronto on 13th May 2021, my timeline:
13th May: walkin at bls Toronto
20th May: CAT file number generated.
24th May: Police verification initiated.
25th May: police verification completed and updated in system.
26th May: PCC is clear and ready for issuance.
No update after that. How long does it take for the next steps till I receive it through courier service?

Hi, Finally today my status changed to "Police Verification has been initiated and a request has been sent to Indian Embassy/Consulate. PCC needs to be collected from the Indian Embassy/Consulate where the applicant applied after a 'Clear' Police Verification Report is received at the Indian Embassy/Consulate."

For the past 3 days, my status on passportindia portal shows that PCC is available for issuance.
I had couriered my application to BLS and have not yet booked the purolator courier drop off through BLS.
Should I wait for the status on BLS website to change to "Ready for pickup" before booking the drop off service? Or should I go ahead and book it right now when BLS shows "processing at consulate general"?

2nd June: Got text message from Purolator that we collect your package from BLS Toronto ( BLS tracking showing same PCC HAS BEEN PRINTED)
3rd June: Estimate day to deliver the package
Whole process take about just 30days.

1. Apply for PCC in the Passport India website. Take a print of out of the submitted application form.
2. Attach copy of Passport and stamped pages.
3. Fill up the declaration form since PCC is for PR.
4. Attach Copy of Canadian Work Permit (proof of Canada Status).
5. Attach copy of Driving License.
6. Attach a photo as per description.
7. Attach money order for 41.40.
8. Create Pick Label for Purolator. Schedule pick up and send documents.
Did I miss any step or document?

1. Not Passport India, but Embassy India

Documents depends upon the CGI you are applying at. Toronto CGI require diff docs then ottawa and make sure to have the application with immigration purpose other than citizenship.
