I got a PPR this morning, and it says if I’m already in Canada I don’t need to send my passport and I should inform the VO about that via Webform. The first part of letter says “if there’s something.....plz contact Manila VO” but another part says “if there’s some mistakes.....plz contact Beijing VO”.
I got completely confused...which VO should I inform?
You had already advised them you are in Canada?

Since you're in Canada, you might try calling IRCC, maybe they can get it sorted.

If you have an email contact, personally I found response times far better than for webforms.

I’ve already advised Beijing VO via Webform, and also informed IRCC office via phone call.
But PPR says “if you’re currently in Canada plz advice our office via Webform within 5 days”.
I’m gonna call IRCC, thank you!

Do the webform as well of course - that way yhou will have official record that you responded within the five days. But you can pursue the other means as well.

Thank you for your advice!
I called IRCC and an agent said my file is still in Beijing and I should inform Beijing vo about that I'm currently in Canada.
I've just sent the message via Web form. I hope I get CoPR soon like PPR.

No… he is in Canada on a TRV so PPR isn’t necessary…
We just got our PPR this week (initial application received June 23rd, 2020). My husband is American so as far as I can figure, he doesn't need to submit his original passport, only a copy. Can someone who has been through this confirm? We are so close to the finish line I don't want to mess anything up!

What do the instructions say to do?

It says to determine whether you need to submit your passports. There's a link and a separate set of instructions depending on whether or not you're applying from a visa exempt country. And I think I've determined we are - meaning that we would just need to submit a copy and not the original passport itself - I just want to be sure!

So the instructions say you only need to submit a copy. That must be right.

Got medical request on the 3rd of may, did the medical on the 25th and I passed.
Have you received any information from them?
You mean information from IRCC? After the clinic sent your result to IRCC, your ECAS and GCKEY will be updated.
In my case, it took about 2 weeks to be updated after medical exam.

Yeah I meant IRCC, if you have gotten any information from them after your medical, because after the clinic sent my results to IRCC on the 29th of May, it was updated on the 30th on GCKEY and ECAS that i passed. So I’m thinking of what’s next.

I had read somewhere for people in India even if you get copr you are not able to travel - anyone with India applicant can confirm or know anything about this?
There is a ban on direct flights from India and need to get a covid test in transit countries - which seems to be close to impossible or impractical in most cases. So for the moment, yes, vast majority are not able to travel.

Share your timeline, please?
If you’ve done biometrics, medical, then next step is your back ground/eligibility check.
There’s nothing you need to do. You’d better check ECAS status frequently.
When they start processing your file, ECAS will tell you.
