In my application status I see an update and it says I can take the test between May 21, 2021 and June 10, 2021.
But I do not receive any email and I cannot register for the test either.

How many days it took you till you arrived for the test phase after the Background check stage?.

For me background check was completed before they sent me a test request but for my spouse it was opposite.

Mine took 2 days to be updated in the portal, I live in North York as well

What's the most recommended paid test practice that we should purchase? Will go for more than one option as well.

I used online practice questions from Toronto public library, Richmond BC library, and v-soul (they’re all free). And the book too … Good luck

I would assume that’s correct! Either way the maximum time frame seen so far is 1week.

My application was received on March 2020.
I checked the new CIC tracker by chance and found test scheduled for me from 21st May but never received email to notify me with steps so I should wait or call them. Also for who did take the test do you use one laptop for the test and is there any camera will be on?

Used one laptop.
Took photos of my driver’s licence and face.
Your camera will be on during the test.
