Hi, So I wasn’t even looking at this forum for like days/weeks. Any news/updates? You guys talking about portal, which one?

In the new portal, mine is just like everyone else.. all sections are “in progress” except background verification which is “complete”.

Does anyone know how long it takes them the update citizenship test to “completed” after a person has passed the test?

Looooool I just checked, after August 2020, somebody bothered to complete my background check in January 2021 and that’s it hahahahshahakskjsjsjsjsj. I will never forget this scandal. It says they are making sure I meet the language requirement looool just look at my CELPIP certificate maybe??!! Residence requirement??? I didn’t even leave Canada once! It’s a very simple, clear application that had to be approved 1000 times by now! What is the difference between Prohibition and Background check?? My prohibition is still in process but background check is completed.

It's getting to the point where it's not even funny anymore.
Top that off with non-transparency and it's a heady mix.

Wonder why they are listing Prohibition and Background as separate. Maybe Security and Criminal stages renamed respectively?

This what i learned RCMP provides Background details and CSIS provides Security (Prohibition) details about the applicants to IRCC.

Passed test on May 4th, changed to completed on May 5th

They just told me to wait until I get an invite

I can confirm to you that you MUST be physically in Canada for the test…. It’s written in the terms and conditions (which you must agree to) before the test can even begin. Also VPNs are not allowed.

If you are abroad at the time of the test , your best solution is to re-schedule it

I don't think the reason is specified. However, you must stay in Canada for the test. Don't try taking it outside from Canada, this may lead to disqualification. You better call CIC to get some explanation and re-schedule (if asked).

It is last updated for me on 23 April. It just says Background Check completed and nothing else is.
The last updated of 23 April is same for everybody?

I have April 23 as last updated - bgc completed and test completed.
