Hello, I had my master's from Canada and currently working as a Retail Supervisor (NOC 6211) and I am guaranteed to get 37.5 hours weekly.
I was promoted as Manager back on June 6, 2020 and in paper my 1 year would be on June 6, 2021 (total of 1947 hours) but there is a cache in it.
Even though I was promoted as a full time manager back on June 6 but I haven't received 30 hours until 2 weeks later. The following are the weeks where I hadn't received or didn't work for 30 hours:
6 - 12 June 2020: 26.5 hours
13 - 19 June 2020: 28 hours
26 Dec - 1 Jan 2020: 22.5 hours -- but I received holiday pay that week which made it to 30 hours of pay.
20 -26 Feb 2021: 0 hours -- took break for IELTS exam (unpaid vacation)
17 - 23 April 2021: 20 hours
Now my queries are:
1. Should I/Do I have to wait until 9 July, 2021 (that's when I will complete my 52 weeks of getting 30 hours/week) to apply? or I could go by my experience letter (where my starting day as a full-timer would be stated)? I will of course provide all my paystubs and the fact that not all the weeks in this 1 year were 30 hours/week can be only be found after going through each and every paystubs.
2. Can I count that 26 Dec - 1 Jan 2020 week, where I worked 22.5 hours but got pay for 30 hours week? Or should I leave it out of my 52 weeks count as I did now.
3. After completing a year my score would be 479 (already took the IELTS exam) - a very good score to compete in CEC - but exactly after a month, on August 9, I will be turning 31 and my score would go down to 473. (Pardon my lack of knowledge in it) I was wondering is there any chance for them to pause CEC in the near future? I fear the way they are taking people, at some point they might slow down or pause it for a period of time or set up a very competitive CRS score. I was looking at the previous Express Entry draws and before March 2020, there were no CEC draws at all (maybe that's when started this specific program, I have very limited knowledge in it) and even back 2020, there were only 10 CEC draws....the rest were no program specified where the score barely went down of 470s. I fear if I apply too late, I might have a slim chance.
