I had the same issue, the local shop where I took the pictures from pledged on his 30+ years of experience of taking PR/Visa pictures that that's the system's fault. Went to Staples, told them what I need it for and the issue I was facing, they pulled out their size requirements/instructions and...

Those who got their PR Card, was wondering how long did it take for you people after ECoPR? I got my ECoPR on December 2nd and planning to buy plane ticket for mid-January, would that be a good idea or should I look for tickets in late January or February?

Your advise worked. Went to Staples, they pull out the size requirements/instructions upon telling them what I need it for and mentioned them the issue I was facing. The lady attendant was super nice, took pictures with and without flash - the one without flash did the trick - and mailed it to...

Are they aware of the PR Card's photo requirement? Did you give them any instruction - regarding the brightness? (Sorry for getting spoon-feed here) Thanks a lot btw, much appreciated. Didn't take any picture from Staples, so not sure how they work.

My brain is fried too, stretched a 12 hours shift and have been working on changing the pixel resolution and brightness for the last 5-6 hours. Got around the resolution but nothing is working on the brightness.

Yes, it's better to do that. I already took that 50 mm x 70 mm picture some 6 months back and thus it didn't/doesn't create an issue doing that - in fact the size/dimension contrast makes it much better than existing picture I have. How did you get over the brightness (too dark or too bright)...

I haven't checked my profile quite often, as in, there were times when I didn't check the profile for 1-2 weeks, so not sure if there were any ghost updates in between or not. To my best knowledge sometime in August it changed to the former status from "not applicable", so in an around 80-90 days.

Background check turns from "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check" to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." Does it mean I am very close to confirmation? Or it would still go...

    Going Home after AoR

Hello, back in July I applied for CEC (inland). I got my AoR on July 18th and the last update was Medical Passed on 18th August (and biometrics the day after) and since then no update. I am on PGWP (still valid for another 1.5 years) and have a TRV (multiple-entry V-1). I am taking leave of...

Your address. This is where they are going to send back your passport. Didn't get my CoPR but going by my previous experience of sending documents four different times to IRCC (TRV, TRV extension etc.) and I believe/assume, the process of your said query shouldn't be any different than all those.

Not sure when it will start. Really reallyy have to go home. Even "if" it starts by this month and "if" I get COPR by next month then it would still take another 3-5 weeks or more to get the card....as in, we are still a solid 4-5 month away of completion of the whole process. The status of a...
