July 2020 - Citizenship application

Hi everyone.

Just wanted to share my timeline with you guys, just for an idea.

Applied with wife and 5 children: 1st July 2020
Application Received: 6th July 2020
AOR: 1st December 2020
Process Started: 4th January 2021
Finger Print (Only for wife): 12th April 2021
Written Test email received (for all 18 years old applicants): 19th April 2021
Finger Prints (wife) given: 19th April 2021
Written Test given (all adult applicants): 24th April 2021 (All got passed)

Also note down that that while I received online test email, I also received a letter with that email advising all adult applicants to submit all colored photocopies of all passport pages covering last 10 years period on the day of signing the citizenship application. Also they advised to translate all stamps/entries/visas which are not in English. They also asked to send copy of photo id having signatures on it.

All July applicants be ready for test email. If you will read "Discover Canada" only for 3-4 days, you will pass. The method of online test is really easy.

Hi, I called CIC last Friday, and they told me that my application is still in Sydney and that security is not passed yet!
I applied in July (a family of two), and our applications were received on July 30th. AOR was received at the end of Jan 2021, and processing started Feb 4th.

Should I worry as some July applicants received their test invite while my application is not even transferred to the local office ( Kitchener, ON)?

Does anybody know if the regular process is to receive test invite when background check only is completed? So I called IRCC last week to verify something about my mailing address and also asked about my status and the agent told me my background checks were done and passed and that I’m ready for the test waiting in a queue to receive the invite.

Today, I logged in using the new tool on the IRCC website and only background verification is completed while the rest of the checks (Language, Physical Presence and Prohibition) are In Progress.

I’m a bit confused now so not sure if what the agent told me is not accurate or if the test takes place before those other checks are done...

I have the same confusion. I spoke to the agent this morning and she said they are just waiting for finger print result (Same is in the new website), rest everything is complete and once they receive the results then I shall be test ready (Even my GCMS notes are showing file location "Test Pending Clearance"). But in the new website everything is still in process except Test and oath. I think these will show the "Completed" status either after completion of the test or at Oath invitation. Others who have done their tests can confirm this after checking their status.

I checked with my friend from calgary. And he has background check complete as well. Sounds interesting. Is background complete and everything in process a generic template?

Even my background checks are not complete (Waiting for FP result).

Same, background check is complete & everything else is in progress when I checked mine. A friend of mine has the same status as well.
