^^ Same here!Hi Everyone,
I submitted my application in July 2020. Got AOR in Jan 2021. I haven't received any update since then. No Medical request / biometric request. The status is still 'In process'. Anyone in same boat?

The application status went from In Process to Application Received again, it is a little strange, wondering what it is about. Ottawa VO.Hii
Today status changed to application received again
It means Ottawa has sent your application to another VO. Usually people get notification in email whenever secondary VO transfers file to another one. If you don't get any email, you can ask them by calling. The application status went from In Process to Application Received again, it is a little strange, wondering what it is about. Ottawa VO.

Are you serious ? Are they stupid or what ? Your job should be enough...Hey guys,
IRCC requested some more documents for myself (the sponsor) to show proof of my time spent in China. I was there for 7 years and have gathered what evidence I can. I think it will be enough but still paranoid. I'm writing a cover letter as some have suggested, explaining the documents I was unable to gather (don't have old passport with visas).
In addition to the docs they wanted from China, they also asked for "proof of my residency in Canada". What do you think would satisfy that? They've already got pics of current passport, & drivers licence. I have a full time job here now and have filed my taxes and been an upstanding citizen. Do they want a piece of mail? A pic of me in front of my house?
For your China's stay, you can also enclose a China-border crossing record, which is free, physical, and offical with stamp. This can be requested from the local Chinese bureau managing border crossing.Hey guys,

It is an odd request but things like a lease should support, if your employer will give a letter, etc. Is there some background to this like you only recently returned to Canada? In addition to the docs they wanted from China, they also asked for "proof of my residency in Canada". Are you a citizen or a PR? Are you fully compliant with your residency obligation?Hey guys,

Thanks for the useful answers everyone. Indeed I am a citizen, 3rd generation born and raised. I returned to Canada in August 2019 so not too recent. What are GCMS notes and how do I order them? somewhere on the GCKey page I presume? It is an odd request but things like a lease should support, if your employer will give a letter, etc. Is there some background to this like you only recently returned to Canada?
Since both parts of this request are not entirely typical, strongly suggest you order GCMS notes. You want to know eventually from the notes of the visa officer/case analyst what is behind this.
If you get the gcms notes and later understand what they're after, you can submit additional information - I mean that hyou didn't mention what deadline they gave you to respond but gcms notes may come after you've provided the additional info.
I didn't follow all the information request about your time in China, but presumably you can get some employment record or confirmation from your employer in China?
GCMS notes is IRCC's global case management system. You order the notes through access to information. It will be a lot of pages of mostly admin stuff. There will be a paragraph or two of actual evaluation and hopefully the info as to what they're looking for and why the additional document request. Thanks for the useful answers everyone.
