Wondering if there is anyone waiting like me. My parents did their biometrics in Dec 2019 and it passed. Since then no update, no medical request nothing! it is really sad, anyone in the same situation

Also, does doing upfront medical help here? Thinking about asking my parents to do upfront medicals if that would fasten the process.

Hello Everyone: My Dad's application "Decision made" was done in March, 2020. But today it got changed to "In process" again. Is this normal ? I was wondering that they will ask for the passport now, but change of status to "In process" is concerning.
Maybe medical expired?

I have tried this quite a few times but can never get to them .... keep getting the "agents are too busy" message. Any other way this can be done?

Thanks all.
Try to call at 1-2pm Eastern Time. You can leave your number and they will call you back. I have done that several time and they do call back. Good luck,

yes, Expired in December, 2020. But I heard they are extending it. Right now my Dad is with me here in Canada and I have raised the webform for his address change.
it depends, some people get extension, others get redo request. Depends on your case officer

I am also planning to get my parents here on visitor visa from India. How was your Dad's experience at the border? While boarding and landing what kind of questions were asked and what documents did you have to show for relationship proof?

it was all gone smooth and normal. he landed on Feb 12, 2021. luckily the hotel quarantine was not started. For parents it is a easy go through as far as you follow travel restrictions requirement. like pre covid tests and now they have implemented another covid test at landing + hotel quarantine.

Thanks for sharing. Few more questions--Did you also provide your birth certificate or other documents as relationship proof, and also financial support proof? As my PR card was sent for renewal, we also got extended family authorization letter from IRCC for them as grandparents. So we have two proofs now immediate and extended family for travel.

but in my CIC account it says medical not required.
In our case, medicals expired in Dec 2020, and immediately the status changed to-medicals not required. I think it's a holding statement implying medicals may be asked again or might be extended.
