I was really frustrated because my application was not moving at all for almost 8 months, security was not started so in Dec 2020 I wrote an emotional message in the web form, and I got a reply after a month that my medical has expired and they asked me to contact again once the medical is completed again. So I went for the medical again 10 days back and it was uploaded on my profile 3 days back and today when I called they were reluctant to give me a timeline initially as they usually do but when I again requested them to give me any idea about the timeline, the agent told me to expect the golden mail by the end of this month.

I totally get the frustration. There has been no movement on my file too. I got my GCMS exactly after 90 days and I see my medical is extended to April end. Hope they send out PPR by end of the month. What did you use to call them? When I use TextNow it only rings and no one answers.

I use the TextNow app only, when you choose your number, you have to choose a Canadian number. I chose a number that starts with 647

If GCMS mentions Eligibility as "Passed" and Final as "Approved" does it mean all is good? My Security is blank @legalfalcon please can you let me know. Thank you..

Security is blank if it is passed in GCMS notes as it is redacted. As regards, approve, it means that all stages have been passed. You you just have to wait for the PPR email.

Hey has anyone changed the accounts that they have their proof of funds in here? I am changing banks. I have changed the amount of money I have in my account, I now have just over declared proof of funds amount still. Does anyone know if its an easy process to notify IRCC if we need to? WP is the fastest, but IRCC is experiencing delays. There is no way to expedite the process though.

As regards meds, there is a backlog of medicals, if your meds has expired, then it would have been sent for reassessment, give it some time and it will be extended. If not, then you will be informed of re-med.

You can also call IRCC and ask.

Thanks for the reply. I am in India right now, I am planning to travel back to canada by end of this month, since I have valid WP and VISA, do I need to do re-medicals, since none of my earlier tests are valid now.

IF your meds have expired or are expiring, they will be sent to IRCC Health Branch, and the Regional Medical Officer will make a determination on whether to extend them to ask you for a re-med. If you are asked for a re-med, you will be informed accordingly.

Hello @legalfalcon, My medical is expired on Dec 13 2020, I called IRCC yesterday and they told me everything is passed, the final decision is yet to make and my file hasn't been touched by any officer since May 2020. I haven't been asked to do a re-medical or my medical hasn't been extended yet either.

I am thinking to do re-medical without their request, Will there be any negative impact on my application if I do that and ask them to update my medical on my profile?

I applied for a bridging work permit as my PGWP work permit was about to expire. They approve my application and gave me an extension of 1 year. I have some urgent work in my home country which I need to attend. Can I travel with the current work permit? I read that I also need a visa along with a work permit? Could anyone tell me which visa should I apply for? What is the process to get my passport stamped and how long does the process takes?

No, there is nothing negative or positive. It is your choice. If you re-do the meds, they will be valid for another year, and IRCC will not have to send your expired meds for reassessment.

Alternatively, you can wait and see if IRCC extends your meds or asks you for re-meds.
