I was fortunate to connect with my second try. Try calling in the morning.How did you manage to talk to an agent?! I've called 5 times today and they keep disconnecting me "due to high call volume"
I am pretty sure that eligibility only takes couple of hours to recommended pass by first officer.
Congratulations!!! Can you be more specific on "take couple of hours"? Since they started reviewing? Or since when?
Call IRCC at 1-888-242-2100 and just remember to choose option 1 - 1 - 2 - 2 then key in your application number then 0 to get to an agent.
Anyone who got eligibility started or completed recently (especially Sep 2020 applicants), can you please confirm if you had dependents in your application? There are candidates with AOR dates prior to Sep 2020 still waiting for eligibility to get completed. So I am trying to understand if there is any other criteria apart from AOR date.

Eligibility recommended passed in dec. 2020, medical and biometric done.
Called IRCC 3-4 times including today and there is no change since then. Criminality under process and security not yet started. I don't know why it's taking so much time. Is there anyone facing the same thing? My v.o. is Sydney.
I asked the agent and she was like it will take some months. It's already been 5 months and I can see people getting COPR. I don't know how much months they need to process the security thing. I lived only in India and Canada only.

AOR 11th Sept.
I called IRCC again today but status is same as it was last week. My Eligibility and Security is not yet started but criminality & medical is passed, VO is Ottawa. The agent told me that eligibility decision depends on security so once its done eligibility will also get updated around same time.
I applied for GCMS notes last week to see what's going on with my file.
I think you should wait for a week or two and check again. Given that Sep first week or so seems to be processing right now. Mine is Sep 21, so will check Feb end.
Any other updates from first week of Sep, guys? So far I saw 3-4 people with eligibility passed.
