Hey everyone, I just received another email from IRCC (yay), this time addressed to my wife, the principal applicant. She hasn't received any emails yet, just what i forward to her after i get it. Thought that was odd since we both gave our contact info.
Anyways that's not what i'm here here for... Our latest email read "This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on 2020/07/23". There was no date at the top of the letter as in previous ones, and it was identical to the one i received to myself a few weeks back but instead of "permanent residence" it was "application to sponsor...". And on the bottom the address for this latest email was The Consulate General in Hong Kong opposed to the initial one saying Centralized Intake Office in Sydney.
This might be a dumb question, but is this our AOR2? Saying it has successfully been received at the new VO?
I went onto ECAS (still having no luck with stupid GCKey!), and there is no change since i last went on it, and still says in process and if i click it it just tells me that they sent out request for medical on Jan 28th and to get it done...even though my wife went for her medical on Feb 4th. Thought that would have been updated by now.
Regarding GCKey, i'll keep trying everyday, different combinations, but i'm not holding my breath. How important is it? Am i missing out on something there i cant get or see otherwise?
Anyways, as always thanks for all the input! this community is so great and makes me feel a little better every time i pop on!
Cheers
