No, I haven't. Honestly, at this point I think it's not useful to apply for GCMS because COVID has been the primary reason for all the delay, there isn't much we would get from GCMS at this point. That's my personal opinion. Have you applied for notes though ?

I am planning because it will provide is exact status that why application still stuck at received status, many candidates from NDVO whose application date is after have in progress status , what you think why our applications lagging behind ?

After 2 years i finally got the PPR, what is the process of submitting the passport at VFS office in Delhi. When i am checking online it seems they're not doing the service in person and asking people to buy courier service for collection & delivery?

i am sponsoring my mother for PR. she has Indian Passport. applied in 2019. completed medical and biometrics in Jan 2020. in Nov 2020, they have requested additional documents for "proof of relationship".

from the letter -- "Proof of Relationship: As proof of relationship to the principal applicant, please provide your voter ID card, Aadhaar card and old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation/secondary school certificate). NOTE: Affidavits are not acceptable as proof of relationship. ".

they said "If you are unable to submit the requested document(s), you must notify our office before the due date with an explanation and proof as to why you are unable to submit the documents."

question
1) what explanation and proof can i give that i do not have some of the documents (Voter ID card, Aadhaar Card, etc.)
2) is there a format to write the letter?

submitt you school certificates which has your parents name in it....like 10th & 12th class board certificates. If you dont have them either, may be get the birth certificate......if you dont have anything, then write them a letter explaining your situation

Question on the Forms that generate barcodes but applicant surname is blank in passport, are people putting N/A in the surname box to generate the barcode or leaving it blank and including letter that explains it. I'm worried as in the guide it says to leave this blank if passport does not have surname but it also says applications will be returned if no barcode is generated

Your question has been answered in PGP 2020 thread. Why did you post again in a different discussion? People who submitted PGP 2019 have already finished filling in their forms.
Again, read guide 5772 carefully and you will find the following:
"If you don’t have a family name on your passport or travel document, enter all given names in the family name field and leave the given name field blank.

If you don’t have a given name on your passport or travel document, leave the given name field blank. "

Sounds sketchy! But saw the phone number and it seems either VFS global or embassy. I would find it odd if someone calls to ask this. Sometimes they ask these as confirmation questions though to confirm that they are talking to the right person. I would find it odd if they just ask that. Sorry, not sure what could be the way to confirm this, may be asking some questions or calling in yourself to the embassy asking the issue they are seeking confirmation for.

my agent just updated IRCC about my parents' new police certificates, travel history and my 2019 NOA even though we have not received any further requirement to do so. hope this can "attract" an officer to look into my file and move forward.

Give details of your applications: when it was sent, what is the online status now. Give your family situation: for example your mother wants to be reunited with you as soon as possible and emphasize the importance of having her in Canada. In concluding the letter, emphasize faster processing of your parents' case helps you and your family. Make the letter formal with less complaints and more like you are looking for help. Seek help from any friend who is from law background or very good in writing.

For the first medical test, my father was asked to do the sputum examination, because there was a dot in his lung.

I wonder for the second medical test, is there a chance that the sputum examination could be avoided? Will the IRCC know he did the sputum examination for the first medical test?

If dot is still the same then they won't ask you again. If there's any changes then they may ask.

Just go with the 2nd medical test and wait what they have to say.

please update @serious_cheese @laxsun @robertp According to CGMS notes LVO is Colombo. never received any document from them so far but DM1 on Oct 20 2020. PA app received status.
