I hope so too. It is hard to stay positive when you see so many applicants getting processed even fro June end . i am glad for those people but this is way too much waiting 20 months and nothing no DM1 nothing for Main applicant ever since they are like the background check is happening i mean how much background check they need like it is been forever. I work every single day in COVID and now it is part of the life then they just need to work. My citizenship file is same way in 16 month nothing . So it is about being Unlucky

Hello, fellow patient members and Jun applicants, I checked the online status and it said profile updated but in reality, there is no change, apart from the fact that it removed the old update of medical pass date from the profile(Mar 2020) and the rest all looks the same. For the medical section how it had earlier the medical pass date, it now says "you don't need any medicals..." as it was earlier before medicals were requested.
Has anyone experienced this? GCMS notes (70 pages) are so difficult to annotate and give no info. Wish everyone a rapid reunion with our beloved parents!!

At this point, all we need to do is wait. I am hoping by June this year, a lot of us, or even better All of us receive the final visa and our parents can be here. On the bright side of waiting, in my case, my parents do not want to come to Canada before June or July this year due to Covid so it is kind of working out but I do hope that at least we get a passport request soon.

Hello, a strange question, if there is new addition to the family, eg. a child being born during the application process, would it affect the family count if the application is still onging? (technically it is 1 more member to the family now) so would this potentially delay the process?

It will affect the family size count going forward (not backward). Income requirement is ongoing until the process is completed.
You need to report change of information (e.g. family size) by submitting updated form(s).

exactly my point I asked them that New Delhi office is the one who sent me the file number as they made my mother to be the main applicant and the agent is like no your file is in CPC-M . I am so confused then they are like may be they are collaborating with Delhi office . I just don't understand how and what they are collaborating as they say the file is in queue for processing , and then Delhi office sent me the file number . Whattttt is happening .

You are really confused and I think your case is handling by some agent. You have not answered any of the queries I made in my last message regarding gckey account linking, ecas status etc. Unless you share the facts over here no body can help you. If you wish someone help you or try to suggest with their experiences, you have to share the facts. If your agent is handling every thing and you don't have access to any account ( gckey or ecas) then this forum may not be of any use for you. I wish you all the best.

Have you linked your application in your Gckey account? What shows on your ecas when you entered your UCI no. to access? It must be showing two categories - one for parent and other for citizenship. Have you checked the details?
Why I am asking because file transfer from Ottawa to Visa Office only after DM1 ( I mean sponsorship approval). As per your earlier post your parents file is in NDVO, if I am not wrong.

Now you have three options, apply all.
1. Raise a web form enquiry to cpc- M for the status of your application.
2. Call IRCC 888-242-2100 and if some good officer then definitely you will get the real status. Try to call on and off to get a good officer to respond.
3. Send a mail to your MP explaining the situation and ask for support. If he asked for a consent form, fill it and he will get you the status within a week time. Consent form is mandatory for him to get the details from IRCC. This enquiry will really help to get activate your file.
I'm not sure if you have tried all these options but I suggest you don't loose hope and try again. Now IRCC is also in action as new applications 2020 are also approaching and they want to close 2019 cases as early as possible to the max.

Maybe this will help to easy out lots of minds. Our application was received on June 3rd and stared processing on Nov 6 2019. DM1 was on Nov 20, 2020. As there was no moments in the file nor we have not received any correspondence even after DM1, applied for GCMS notes on Dec, 2020 and received on Jan 27 2021. What we understood was that SSC Alberta has not responded for the first requested sent on Oct 2019 and second request was sent after one year in Oct 2020 and reported back in first week of Oct 2020 on the negative and then the DM1 on the later part of Oct 2020. So the situation is that though we never got the letter DM1 is passed and the application is at V/O app is yet to start and V/O is not working. fingers crossed. At least know that the file has moved.
