The Checklist is kinda like the cover sheet, u would check off all documents in the package and following the checklist order.

As above, I wanted a list in addition to the checklist that noted each specific document, also so that where needed I could refer to - where there were letters of explanation - each document individually.

Wouldn't be necessary for applications that are more simple or with only the 'prescribed' documents, but made sense for our case. As I said, also helped me organise our file and check that nothing had been forgotten.

Hi everyone, i've finally finished gathering everything and printing. I don't recall where I read it but papers shouldn't be stapled right? Are paper clips and binder clips allowed? Thanks

Dont staple. Use only paper clips

Did you ever follow up with the CIC to see if you can get a temporary number? I know it's useless...but I tried just to see if it's actually on someone's desk yet. I'll try again on February 18 (2 months).

I have not tried yet.

I will try calling sometime mid-end feburary after 2 months has passed

Hi all, my husband is sponsoring me and also has applied for my in-law's super visa.
We have sent in all the applications but haven't received any aor for the spousal application yet
Owing to some personal reasons he's planning to leave his current job, take up a job with an Indian organization and travel to India for 8-9 months.After that he'll be traveling to Canada again.He'll be taking up a job which has counterparts in Canada as well.
The question is :- if he does so are there chances of the applications getting rejected as he won't be having a Canadian employer/Canadian address and won't be earning in Canadian payroll for 8-9 months?

Is he a PR or a citizen?

If a PR, indeed likely would be rejected. PRs must be resident in Canada to sponsor, throughout the process. Short trips - think, less than a month - generally okay.

Any idea how long can Sponsor live outside Canada (currently sponsor is in India) when dependent PR (spouse PR) application is in processing? I heard, it is better if sponsor live in Canada during PR application processing for outland applicants? Could any one please help on this? Is this makes any difference if sponsor live in Canada or outside Canada during PR application processing? Sponsor is permanent resident.
