I respect CEC candidates, don't get me wrong. I studied in Canada, i know all about the sacrifices international students make to reach their Canadian dream. It's a tough journey, to pay those exorbitant fees, be away from your family, and to study and sometimes work simultaneously, and be able to live on a tight budget.
I just don't want that dream to be only for some people and not for others. You know what i mean?
A lot of people are getting pushed out because of the high cut-off scores, and it's only increasing and becoming more competitive. My friend keeps telling me of people he knows who want to apply for Canadian immigration but can't because their scores are too low, and they are also educated, and have good work experience. Maybe those extra points CEC gets are the difference to get them in and not allow others to be selected. They have to accept that.
Now imagine the people here, who have worked so hard to be competitive, and just when they might have a chance to get an invitation....it's a CEC only draw.
It's hard on them. I hope CECs can see this as well.
