Yes, you need to approach OINP and they will reissue a new work permit support letter using which you can reapply/renew for a closed work permit.
Thanks for the information. The lawyer who is connected with company told it is just one time. I don't understand why that kind of people spread out wrong information with high salary. XXit.

Your work permit support letter is valid for six months. You may request an extension if your work permit is expiring and your application for permanent residence is still in process.

Why would the province not support you? After all IRCC delay is not your issue. You did not do anything wrong.

Paper based Question: Do you get a notification when the Package is delivered (AR)? Or only on the AoR?
Notification comes only for AoR. You will get an email after which you can link and view your profile online. After linking, you can see your AR date.

Just sending again ..hope someone from Colombia or Mexico is in this forum. Thanks!
Hey there!
Your certificate PCC from Colombia seems to be a little trickier than others because you may have to wait for IRCC to ask for it.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/how/colombia.html

This is one of the companies that provides the PCC, the name is "Omnitempus", and there are some threads that you can probably look after, like this one.

Hope it helps!

@chivinas / Others, what happens after the upfront medicals are submitted? Mine were submitted only yesterday, after 30 days due to series of bad-lucks, COVID related delays etc. What should I expect next? Will the online profile show the change of medical submitted and/or passed? Or should I raise GCMS to find out? If GCMS, how many days later, after the medicals are submitted by the doctors?
Did you send a web form with the e-sheet the clinic gave you?
Do you have access to GCKey? Once passed you will see it in there.

Hi @chivinas , yes, I sent them the eMedical sheets on the same day I did the medical (raised Webform). I received an acknowledgement 10 days later that they forwarded the eMedical forms to the case processing office. I have access to the GCKey (did PR processing myself). Currently it says no medical required (ie no change, has been displaying this since day 1).

How long after submission did you see the status change on GC key?
Did you get any email when the status changed?
Did the status change to "Reviewing Medical" and then "Passed"? Or directly went to "Passed" ?

It went to reviewing about one week after the clinic sent the results, and after a couple of days changed to passed. No email received.

Thanks @chivinas. Lets see, my medical was submitted separate (15 days after test) from wife (30 days+) separate from our kiddo (Next day submission).

Thanks a lot for the help!

It seems I can’t get it in advance. I was hoping it was a different process for paper based PR.

Hello friends, please I would like to know if spouses on Open Work Permit are eligible for this stream (Employer Job: Foreign Worker) having worked for one or two years. Has anyone seen individuals with SOWP apply via this stream and came out successful?
Another question is that, what if one has gotten at least two years of experience outside of Canada, would it still be mandatory to have one year experience in Canada before one can apply for this stream?
I will appreciate your responses. Thanks
@chivinas, I tried sending you a message but was unable to get this done. I would be glad if you could also lend you inpuy. Thanks

I was on open work permit, my husband in study permit.
I had one year of work experience in my home country and one year here.
I received nomination via this stream last year and got PR in September.

Thanks for your prompt response. What that means is that you got your PR even before your spouse completed his studies(for a two-year or more course), whao! If this is correct, it means he doesn't need to apply for PGWP after he finished his program because he would be a PR already! Whao!
Again, having gotten the nomination, did you apply through the CEC express entry stream? Did you provide proof of fund?

Yes, that's correct. He doesn't need to apply to PGWP. Indeed, if wants, he can quit college. Or, if he decides to continue, will pay domestic fee. He is now finishing the second year of a 3 year program, and had one year left, but probably he will not continue.
With this nomination you can't apply through the CEC express entry. It's a paper based application outside express entry.
BDW, you can use 2 years of experience in your home country as far as you have a job offer from an Ontarian employer.
We didn't provide proof of funds. You have to fill a form where you declare your funds, but they don't ask for a proof. Anyways, I think that you have to have a way to provide a proof of the amount you declare in case they ask for it.
