Solved: Passport returned from CPC-Ottawa w/o COPR or PR with no reasons

The exact same thing happened to my spouse,
We are still waiting on Ottawa it is a month and a week now, when i call they saying file is in Accra so they cannot check which makes it more frustrating.
Fingers crossed.

So you got the passport request from Accra but since your spouse is in Canada, you followed the instructions (Applicant already in Canada) mentioned in the letter, right?

And you didn't receive your package back as mentioned by others in this thread?

Not yet, almost a month and a half since submission. When i call IRCC they cannot check the file because according to them it is in Accra so i wonder why they have our passport if they cannot access the file. I have ordered how gcms note to know what is going on.

I have the same issue, visa office is Beirut and had passports sent to Ottawa. Everytime I call IRCC I get the same response: they cannot access file since it is outside Canada.

Hey guys. I have a similar situation here.
I am a sponsor for spousal application. It was an outland application initially. The file was transferred to New Delhi for further processing.
In between, my wife travelled to Canada on visitor visa.

Today morning, we received the passport request from Delhi immigration to submit the passport thru VFS in India. However, since she is already in Canada we followed below as mentioned in the passport request letter.

"If you have a mailing address in Canada and if you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa."

So I just sent the passport out to CPC - Ottawa along with photos and all the passports (old and new).

1) Did I do anything wrong here by sending it to Ottawa?
2) What is the next step?
3) Do we get CoPR? if not, what is the proof of PR? In case she wants to start to work?
4) Is there a landing procedure in our scenario?

Uff! So many questions! Help please.

2. No. We called after sending it out. They told us that we "should" receive the CoPR and we will be doing virtual landing after that, not sure how though.

Was Call centre agent able to access your file when you called?
I sent passports to Ottawa since October 28. When I called a couple of days ago the agent told me that she cannot access my file because it’s in Beirut.

I sent passports to Ottawa since October 28. When I called a couple of days ago the agent told me that she cannot access my file because it’s in Beirut.

The agent did put us on hold for almost 10 minutes for that. But I guess he couldn't access our file. And after that he told us the standard process, not so convincing/reliable for the scenario we all are in.

Nope. Just tried to track the Canada Post return package - Not available.

My passport was delivered last Monday. I know it's too early for me to track the package.
