June 2020 - Citizenship Application

Hello Everyone,

My Application (Family) reached CIC on 16 June and I am still awaiting for any feedback.

I have noticed a trend for the AOR is delayed for following Applications

a) if you have applied from Toronto &
b) Incase you have submitted your Application together i.e. Family Application.

I have noticed this trend since Jan 2020.

Any Inputs on the same.

I applied from Markham as Family of 4, and 1st batch to get the AOR in June. Just follow the April, May thread after 80% they should move on to June again.

No it's not an AOR. When you receive AOR, there is a second line which says 'We sent you an acknowledgment...'

AOR means Acknowledgement Of Receipt

You should have a second line that says "We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on ...". If so, what date does it say? That should be when you received an AOR.

There is just one line, not the second line. Having second line as you said means you received AOR. The first message popped up recently(previously it was saying 'we couldn't find your application' when I inquire the status). Is there any case you guys heard that the applicant receives the same message(We received your application...) and the application is returned afterwards?

AOR means Acknowledgement Of Receipt

Thanks for brightening my mind but as everyone else I know what all the synonyms stand for in the citizenship application . When you receive AOR, you receive the file number as well(same process as PR application) and it's sent via email/mail which I didn't receive.

It's odd that there is no second line and that you haven't received an AOR yet but it's a good sign that you are in the system. You can either wait it out or call IRCC to enquire. If you can be found on ecas, then I would assume that they can tell you your application number and tell you why you haven't received an AOR yet.

Just hung up the phone actually Called IRCC @1-888-242 21 00 to inquire(was surprised waiting time is only 20 minutes, for those who used to wait to inquire about their PR application for an hour, it's miracle). I was told there are two steps for AOR. First step is to be put on system(my case), the second step is to check completeness of the documents submitted. After the second step is completed, AOR is issued and the file number is created. That's what I was told by the agent. And here are the details.

Congrats... Did you send in june or july? Because you posted in june but your dates are july.
