I got my gcms notes and I don't know how to interpret it. Where exactly do I get the information relevant to the status of my application. @legalfalcon pls help

The three simple steps to read your GCMS notes:

1. Verify that they are your notes by checking your application number, your name and date of birth on page 1.

2. See page 2 for the assessments. This is the overview of your application stages. To read on stages, see https://bit.ly/35xhKw6

3. Then flip to the last 3-5 pages, this is where the notes entered by the immigration officers are and will provide you with the details.

Once done, you will have a clear grip of your application and then you can read in details about the assessments and calculations and the incoming and outgoing documents which will be in the middle of your notes.

Check your note if it is by an officer or an assistant to an analyst. You can compare it with my previous post at #2,521

If your eligibility has an officer's note, then it is passed.

I saw a note that multiple communications will cause refusal. So don’t bother them all too much with webform and GCMS notes request. It adds to the load. Contact them if you need them to correct something in your file. And an occasional status one - better to call - the call folks don’t work on the case would not impact case processing time.

That's highly unlikely for them to refuse you because you are contacting them. Espexially when they dun respond in the first place.

Seems like IRCC is very angry!! Is this for extended family members though or just everyone?
I don’t know. Better to be cautious. There is just too much going on, so a little bit of patience and silence helps I guess. They are closing everything back again here in Canada. They can’t handle the workload and not everyone can work from home. This would be the worst time to relocate internationally. I couldn’t imagine doing all what I did beginning of this year now. Getting settled will be very hard amidst the lockdown. Stay safe and healthy - wherever you are. Things will get better.

Your interpretation of that tweet is wrong. It has nothing to do with sending enquiries at all. Read the entire write up without the cut and join and it'd make more sense.

What they're trying to say is that relevant information required to process the ETA should be sent together in ONE email as against sending them in in bits (multiple mails). Sending in information in bits and pieces is what they're saying could lead to refusal or delay.

Yeah Twitter responses are similar too. People start getting worried when IRCC says refusal. I see that folks don’t get response these days for case status requests. I have in the past one time got an email too to not contact for case status. Better to reduce workload for them - that’s the intention of my post.

Hi @legalfalcon .
I was wondering if you could kindly help me on an issue. So I received my GCMS note today (Ottawa). It shows that my application has been approved (on 13th October apparently). It doesn't show anything regarding the COPR though.
Also, a new secondary office has been added to my application which is Ankara and I know this is the office people from my country submit their passports to. So is COPR issued by the visa office that eventually grants you the visa? (In my case Ankara)
And also it shows that my application has been assigned to CPCO COVID RFV group on September 2nd apparantly. Any idea what that means?
Many thanks in advance.

Most of the people want to have peace of mind by getting visa and COPR. The main issue is not the rush to get to Canada but to finalize the application.

They can finalize the applications and keep the travel restrictions still quarter 1 2021 finishes. I believe most would prefer to relocate in the summer but finalize the applications first.

Hallelujah exactly!! Although, I am inland, I want it to be finalised so I don't have to keep extending my visitors visa.
