Hi @legalfalcon .
I was wondering if you could kindly help me on an issue. So I received my GCMS note today (Ottawa). It shows that my application has been approved (on 13th October apparently). It doesn't show anything regarding the COPR though.
Also, a new secondary office has been added to my application which is Ankara and I know this is the office people from my country submit their passports to. So is COPR issued by the visa office that eventually grants you the visa? (In my case Ankara)
And also it shows that my application has been assigned to CPCO COVID RFV group on September 2nd apparantly. Any idea what that means?
Many thanks in advance.
Even I was added to the same group on Sep 2nd. Trying to understand what that means for us.

Well RFV means "Ready for Visa" I guess.
I just dunno if it's a good thing or not.
I think it is a good thing....but trying to understand if there is any precedent. Like, is there anyone who was in this group and recently received PPR/CoPR etc.,

I was wondering this same thing to! My primary is Ottawa and my secondary is Vancouver. @legalfalcon

The Visa and COPR will always be issued by the LVO, i.e. you visa office in your country of residence where you have to submit your passport if you are not from a visa exempt country.

However, even if your application has been transferred to the LVO, the CPC can finalise the application and in the GCMS notes will be see that the document number may have been generated or it may have been put in queue.

The COVID group has not been defined anywhere, but many people who see this, their application has been but on hold or delayed due to office closures.

I got my gcms notes and I don't know how to interpret it. Where exactly do I get the information relevant to the status of my application. @legalfalcon pls help the first note says ready for approval since May 2020. What does it mean?

The three simple steps to read your GCMS notes:

1. Verify that they are your notes by checking your application number, your name and date of birth on page 1.

2. See page 2 for the assessments. This is the overview of your application stages. To read on stages, see https://bit.ly/35xhKw6

3. Then flip to the last 3-5 pages, this is where the notes entered by the immigration officers are and will provide you with the details.

Once done, you will have a clear grip of your application and then you can read in details about the assessments and calculations and the incoming and outgoing documents which will be in the middle of your notes.

Check your note if it is by an officer or an assistant to an analyst. You can compare it with my previous post at #2,521

To read on security and the security screening manual see https://bit.ly/35zk5oJ

If your eligibility has an officer's note, then it is passed.

Got re-medical request today

AOR 20 December, 2019
VO Ottawa(last time I checked)
Previous meds done on December 4, 2019
Previous meds passed on January 20, 2020

My gcms said I have Latent tuberculosis, dunno how they came to this conclusion as they haven't done any tests for it.

Maybe they want to see if it's turned into active TB, as it does in 5-10% of latent cases Or it's just routine re-medicals.

Dear @legalfalcon I have another question if you don't mind.
I investigated my GCMS note further and I could see that CoPR section has been generated in it. It says "status: not started" under the document issuance. It also says "Issued at: CPC-Ottawa" under the counterfoil section.
I have two concerns right now.
First my medical is valid until 26th feb 2021 and because of that my CoPR is valid until 24th Feb 2021. What if I don't received the PPR email in time to make it to Canada before it gets expired?
Secondly my IELTS exam will expire on 26th March 2021. Will that in anyway affect my application now that it has been approved?

Thank you so much for your guidance in advance. Your answers are very helpful.

....i have sent them my third GCMS request and many web forms....
Dun worry I have ordered 4 GCMS notes and many contacts with them (once every 10 days simply because they wouldn't answer my emails).
Yesterday I got my GCMS note and see that my application has been approved.
That post you see is about something else (not sending different pieces of docs in multiple emails)

1) they might extend ur medical considering ur application has been approved or they can ask u to re take ur meds. Also, they could even send u a ppr and ask u to enter before 24th Feb.
2) IELTS scores gets locked when u upload and transmit all documents. So no prob there.

Well, they're talking about sending multiple emails with info for extended family reunion applicants. I have sent them webform on weekly basis and have ordered GCMS notes every month since last June since they didn't bother to keep me updated.
