So if we submitted an e-mail then they won't send POSTAL MAILS, except an Interview Letter , MEDS, PPR Literally these days we can survive if wife's enemy gave a BRIBE to Dakia. Even with postal mail an email follows. No need to depend on mailman.
YES a friend has seen this bribe thing, experienced it , even REGD letter wont go, even with mobile no. of the recipient is written, was complained nothing happened, pmt feds jobs eh! My friend got a REGD letter back in 6 months whereas there was a cell no. with the name, all scanned , sent to AMBALA hd office; no nothing that post man is still same area he said. :( not all employees are bad thou..

I have some data I got from Statistics Canada. Official government statistics. Pre-covid, they were processing 5500 or so spousal category PR applications on average by month ( well close to 5500) . So they're just giving us a lollipop by saying 6000 for three months. It basically translates into going back to a little over average pre-covid processing for 3 months, which really isn't that big a deal if you take into account they have a backlog to clear.

We had ours in Chennai Apollo.
Which doctor did you have it in chennai apollo, were they good? Did they have e-medicals, so a photo wasn't required? How long after the checkup did they send the results and finally how much was the fees. Sorry for all the questions. We just got our medical request as well.

Hey man, this is the link I used ( was one of the files - don't remember which ) :

https://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/f7e5498e-0ad8-4417-85c9-9b8aff9b9eda

But I played around with the data, and converted it to a table. Only used the Spousal Category line for our purpose.

Also, some people here are doubting authenticity of the data, however, I personally believe it to be accurate.

Hello,

We submitted the spousal sponsorship application for my wife back in March and still waiting for AOR1 to come in. In the meantime, we applied for a visitors visa for her in parallel, and it was approved, she's got her visitors visa now.

Does anyone know if you can pass your medical in any country, or does it need to be in the country of residence? We are trying to avoid a scenario where she comes to visit in Canada and then has to rush back to get the medical done. It would be ideal if she could do it in Canada, I'm just not sure if this is allowed or not for spousal applications.

BTW, tried to call Immigration Canada about this already, but they couldn't give me a coherent answer. I guess this is not a very common scenario.
Hi, when you applied for a visitor visa for you wife, have you mentioned that you submitted the spousal sponsorship ? thanks :)
