I dont think LVO ever writes such letters so we treated it as AOR2 I hope u understand

Call it maple syrup if you like, but it's not an aor2. It's a transfer to visa office letter. Why tell others an aor2 letter looks like this when you know it doesn't?

And yes, some offices don't do aor2.

Frustrating, they have started sending aors to april people but haven't sent aors and bil to most march ones like me, 25th march applicant.

I thought it was just that, but having not done it i didnt know for sure lol

Do you happen to know if Ottawa do aor2?

OK there is NO SUCH letter as AOR2 written in it. It is an assumption that once the file reaches LVO an acknowledgement is called an AOR 2
It used to be but now they don't send AOR2s and yes I was wrong on that point almost forgot this stage precisely

Some offices do send a separate letter, with not much information but that it is in process at such and such an office and contact info.

Timing seems variable but not necessarily quickly after being advised it has been sent (can be months esp in covid).

Some consider the so called ghost updates after transfer to be equivalent to aor2 but that's just guessing at procedures. Possible that both do mean the file has been assigned to an officer, but at any rate in the queue.

So for others reading: you may or may not get aor2, it's not an essential part of the process.
