Hi, I am May 28th applicant. I received pre-arrival services letter on June 23, 2020 in my CIC account page. But no request for password, no change in ecas or CIC. My VO is New Delhi. They have completed everything including medical in March 2020.

Now I would like my parents to come here to Canada. They have a valid visitor visa.

Did anyone bring their parents here while awaiting the final decision? Will they be allowed? As per the govt news release they are but did anyone have any experience recently in bringing them into Canada.

After they reach should I just inform IRCC about that and update their current address on the file?
If they have a valid visitor visa, they can come to Canada and you would update their address through webform.

when was your medical pass date?

CPC Mississauga – PGP19

and this the first and last letter I received from them.

Dear Sir/Madam:

This refers to your application to sponsor your parent(s) or grandparent(s) (PGP) xxxxxxx under the Family Class.

Your application has been accepted under the intake cap for 2019.

Your application number is located below the date of this letter. You must quote this reference number in any future correspondence related to this file. This correspondence also acknowledges receipt of your payment. Please keep a copy of this letter for your records.

I ordered GCMS notes and the intake number is 3568. They approved my sponsorship application on Sep 11th, 2019, and didn't follow up after that. No email sent for sponsorship approval and I had to update them for my marital status change and since then, nothing.

Awful Work Ethics.
Hi, you know what does the intake number mean?

Hello all

My parents file were received on May 29, 2019. My local office is CPC-M. They have biometrics and medical done on November 2019 and since then there is no update. Today just now, I received a phone call from immigration office and asked me if my parents are currently in Canada. I told them yes.

The agent told me that's all she wants to know. Then I asked her how long will it take for my parents to complete the process and what else is required from me. She said she cannot give me a timeline now.

I'm just wondering the meaning of asking my parents current living status in Canada.

It means they will probably skip PPR and complete virtual landing for them as they are already in Canada

@serious_cheese

Hello, I just got AOR Sept 30th. Application received since June 2019 at CPC-M. Almost 15 months and just AOR. Is that possible? My parents are still in the Phils. How can I transfer CPC from Mississauga to Manila? Can I do that or IRCC will?
Only 9 months to go for the 24-month processing deadline. Unless they will extend due to the current situation? My parents are getting old and feeling hopeless. Appreciate your input.

Check the tracker, there are many others on the same boat. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AqTuXZrYG6sg4UHpHBEaMbWTgbHtvxzWYedaojGh0bg/edit?ts=5e27655c&pli=1#gid=945174368

You will only be assigned an LVO after you receive sponsorship approval and you cannot request a specific LVO. Until then, all applications are processed in Canada. 24 month is a service standard but no guarantees that applications are processed within that time frame.
