Hi All,

Please help !!!!!!!!!!!!

I will get most probably my ITA in some time for today draw as my score is 474. But I have one doubt related to my application. It would be really great if someone can answer that:

I have started working in Canada on 26-June-2017 and still working with same company till date. I got 48 points for 1 year of Canada experience in May 2018 itself and I was declining the ITA till now. I will be completing my actual one year by today EOD and I will get ITA today for draw happened in the morning. Will it be considered of 1 year completion or not if I get ITA today or my work experience will be counted by 1 day short. Will it be safe with submitting my e-APR by accepting this draw?

Thanks in advance

The VO will assess the minimum entry requirements as at the time of the ITA (not sure if that means as at the time of the EE draw or when the ITA e-mail is sent). If you had not completed the days work then technically you haven't completed the 1 year. Most people like to have some extra time. You are more than likely to get an ITA in the next draw. You could risk continuing to your application but a rejection in a few weeks would delay your application more than than waiting for the next draw. Essentially it is your decision. Good luck.

It would probably be OK, but if the uncertainty will make you crazy, you might consider postponing : )

@devd1986 - refer to this CIC help article http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=664&top=29
if you are applying under CEC class, 12 months of full time Canada work experience is mandatory. I leave the judgement to you :)

Congratulations! So your ITA wasn't short by one day after all, it was exactly one year.

Finally, find the thread which I was looking for.
I started my job on 28th October 2019 so technically I will finish one year's experience on 27th October 2020 and Draw will be on 28th October 2020 so I am good.
I will create an EE profile on 27th October 2020 end of the day.
will I get an invitation on the 28th October draw?
any comments are welcome.

My suggestion will be not to wait until the end of the day, but do it earlier in that day or even the day before. There could be technical issues, with the system and it can respond a day later confirming your profile. As per IRCC, you need 52 weeks of full time, so one day is not so problematic. Make sure that the letters confirming your work experience are dated after the 28th. Good luck!

If you receive accrued holiday pay instead of paid holiday time you can count 2 week holiday per year in each year worked.

Hey Monkeyspanner,
I just want to see if I understand it correct. The holiday pay accrued should be worth two weeks of work and that would be counted as well? If I am not wrong, I should have 80 hrs worth holiday pay or something like that?

I have salaried job. And I just took one day off in year and it was paid.
so you are telling if someone do not get paid holidays and if he didn’t take any holiday than 50 weeks is one year?
