My status changed from "Your action required" to "Submitted" on 11-Sep-2002, but not as updated.
Also, I am planning to order GCMS beginning of Oct.

Same here. My status also changed to "Submitted". What is it about..?
Hi, apparently after one month of "Your action required" status, the IRCC system changes it to "Submitted". Days before Covid-19, BIL did expire in 30 days, perhaps it's something to do with that. Basically, this change nothing for us.
I am really glad that Service Canada and IRCC come up with a solution for Biometrics Collection.
Guys, if anyone from June AOR receives a call from Serivce Canada, please let us know.

I got 3 spam calls claiming to be service Canada today. Cool.
How do you know they were claiming to be Service Canada? Was it an automated voice system that was asking you to press 0 to talk to an officer? If so, it is a scam.

Update folks! Spoke to a Service Canada representative today, she told me they are giving appointments to the applicants who need it the most. People were talking about seeing COVID groups on their GCMS notes, it is possible IRCC has categorized some applicants (with everything else finalized) into groups to facilitate this. Since there is a fair amount of backlog, they will open the website for appointments (for everyone) as soon as these applicants submit their biometrics. Assuming that they won't close due to a second wave, we could submit our biometrics soon; maybe before our 6-month processing time is up.

Yeah but the annoying thing is now I have to actually try not to miss any calls and actually listen to these garbage voice messages.
Yes. One thing that I have noticed with genuine Service Canada calls is you do not see any caller ID with them. They show up as private number. Scammers on the other hand spoof local numbers to make themselves look genuine. It's ironic the way they try so hard to convince people they are the real thing.

I agree with you, it is so easy to miss calls nowadays. Hopefully, they will allow us to book our appointments soon. It just looks like the second wave is starting in Ontario. I would be pissed if they close all Service Canada locations again and maintain the status quo for another 6 months or so.

I've had scam "Service Canada" calls from non caller ID numbers before so there's no set way to determine which is real just from looking at your phone prior to answering

Agree. At the end of the day, Service Canada agents are not going to ask you for your personal information over the phone. They have everything on the file and might just give you a timeslot for which you show up at their location. Anything other than that is scam and people should do their due diligence. Based on my conversation with Service Canada representatives, none of my personal information was exchanged. Scammers will try to get that from you.

This isn't even official yet, no notices from IRCC. Also I don't see any aplicants in March or even February AOR forums who have received such calls...

Today, when I logged into my account, I saw that my application's current status was updated. However, there were no changes when I clicked full application status. I hope this is the ghost update where most of the candidates get their eligibility assessed.
Is here anybody else with the similar scenario whose AoR is in late June?
I am thinking to raise a webform.
Another ghost update today :confused::confused::confused: Whta's going on!!!
