You are absolutely right!

Getting an AOR without the test means nothing ...

To be honest, that means only one thing: That Canada has stopped granting citizenship, de facto (in fact, in practice) to all applicants after March 2020, having had their test dates canceled, or to come .

There is no more citizenship because more test (The test is a legal condition to obtain the citizenship). We should not therefore rejoice for a simple aor.

You have to make noise ... Or have to wait years and years. (Code 699 allowing federal employees to be paid with our taxes without doing anything + their very very powerful union, which would be able to demand a daily rate of covid infection of zero people before returning to work = Years and years additional to wait...
But also a risk of a majority conservative government in the meantime = risk of retroactive citizenship law change = your envelopes will be returned to you with refund.

Hey guys
Quick question. Do I have to register to use the online physical presence calculator or is it only an option if I want to save it?

If God forbid your application gets returned, do they inform you with email or mail?

Thanks.
They are returning the paper application that was sent. I never saw a post received any email on returning the application. Its by canada post getting the physical package on hand with a cover letter from cic.

admin please remove this entry from Feb. this user is already on January.
It is possible they sent two applications for two different people. Should confirm first.

Application returned via postal mail (Canada post), they don't inform by email.

Hi guys,
I’m going through my citizenship application and just wanted to ask, can I include a letter of explanation on a separate piece of paper?

Thanks a lot.

I have one more question. I have a situation when I was in canada for 6 months without any job. I applied for PR once from Canada in 2016, then I lost my job cause the company went out of busines. I couldn’t work for anyone else cause my work permit was for that one company only. I spent 6 months after that sitting on my butt waiting for the PR results. My application was refused due to me loosing my employment so I left and reapplied from my home country. This time I got my PR. Before I left canada (during those 6 months being unemployed) I applied for the bridging work permit so I could stay waiting for the PR results and also improved my language test score so I can reapply from back home.
Do you guys think they might have a problem believing me that I was in Canada for 6 months unemployed? Would the fact that I applied for that bridging permit during that time and that I had that language test before I left be sufficient to convince them? Do you even think they’ll ask at all?

I don't think they will have any issues believing that you were in Canada. You can be in Canada and be unemployed for however long you want. IRCC has nothing to do with what you do with your time as long as you filled your taxes and your physical presence day count is good.
