My crs score was 465, because my ielts result was L: 8.5 R: 8.5 W: 6.5 S: 8, so I redo my ielts test last week.

The result is released today, and my Crs score drops to 459 because L: 8 R: 8.5 W: 7 S: 6.5

I wouldn’t believe that I would score 6.5 in speaking......... now I applied for remark....

Why 459? Can't you keep the old score?

Hello, this is connected to the earlier questions. I appreciate if I can get a clarification on CELPIP English test. When you register it says it will automatically send the results to IRCC. So if I take a second test and get a lower score than first, IRCC will know it. Should I put the second score (which is lower than first test) or can I keep the higher old score (still valid) ? I already registered for a second test and now I am worried to take that. Please help

Judging from recent trends, they should open any moment from now. Hang in there mate. I learnt it won't delay the progress of your application though.
Thanks! :) Yeah, I was very relieved when I saw that the other parts don't get delayed. It's nice that everything else keeps processing in the meantime.

You can use the old score. The old score needs to be valid.

Hello, does anyone know the rational for IRCC asking PR applicants to do biometrics again even though if their previous biometrics haven't expired as yet? I find it strange since biometrics are valid for 10 years. Thanks!

Short answer? Security.

Long answer? PR applications undergo considerable scrutiny, more so than TRV and other applications. Having applicants submit new biometrics during a PR application reduces the potential for stolen, borrowed, or altered data to be used to permit a “potentially” at risk individual into Canada.

If you choose to believe the above, is another matter entirely.

To add on if it helps, I did my TEF french speaking with a mask on as well and it hardly mattered. English should be a breeze for someone comfortable with the language.

As a general tip for any language examination, it's always a great idea to emote more with your eyes, hands etc.
I did my TCF today, and instead of a mask, they offered a face shield during the Speaking section. For the other 3 skills, which are done on the computer, I had to wear a mask throughout the whole test.

Good luck man, I hope you get those additional French language points and receive ITA.

I think a face shield is way better as it makes it easier to talk without having to adjust all the time. I hope you get your desired results so you finally get your ITA.

Thanks a lot guys. I got a CLB8 for Listening and CLB9 for Reading. Btw, I absolutely love the fact that TCF "sur ordinateur"/"computer delivered" shows your scores for Reading/Listening right away... IELTS should do that too!

Now I need to wait around 10 business days until I receive the Speaking/Writing scores.
And of course, if I don't get it this time, another session of the TCF is always 2 months away. haha.
