The processing time from IRCC website for SP extension is decreasing to 30 days, but they seem haven't started dealing with any of the backlogs, haven't heard anybody got eligibility review started or approval without biometrics, no matter SP or WP, that's really a hard time

IRCC incompetent jerks- they can only generic reply, the agents say they don't know why processing times are getting reduced, they admit that they know there are many applications in backlog from last year but their hands are tied.. they are doing everything to make sure that international students stop existing after taking all their money and screwing them.

To contribute, I submitted my application in the end of March. Got stuck on biometrics part as most of people. Now shows as submitted.
Any clue what the status updates to when eligibility starts? What does your eligibility review say?

Mine says the following - "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." Dont know if this was the same from the beginning itself, didn't notice. Never received an email mentioning eligibility review has started either.
yeah，that means they are reviewing your eligibility now, usually you will get a decision made soon, but I am not sure how fast this will happen during this pandemic, but this is definitely a good sign! Congrats！That also gives us some hope

They called IRCC who informed that eligibility has not even been started. Infact some of them applied before me (I applied in Feb)

My eligibility message is the same as yours "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility. "

I'm going to graduate in Dec, but you know, for such a situation, it's totally possible I can't get a valid SP when I graduate, then I wouldn't be able to work during implied status, so worrying about this now
Did they get their biometric instruction letter rightaway or later? That could have an effect.
They all got the biometric instruction letter next day after appl. submission. I am just wondering am I the only person not to receive the instruction letter and probably won't receive it anymore as it is exempted.
I have been told by my university representative that I can normally apply for PGWP even with implied status and start working.
