Well, you can apply for PGWP, but you can't start working.

Hmm, something here doesn't make sense. If you still have those 90 days or so after the program completion date, then why wouldn't you be allowed to work during PGWP application. You can still work as a student in implied status normally, as long as you applied for an extension.

I really hope our extensions will be sorted out ASAP. This is horrible.

I would wish we could work too. But check this https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...da/work/after-graduation/after-you-apply.html, all these stuff works with the assumption that you had a valid SP when you apply for PGWP, otherwise, there's a risk your PGWP could be rejected due to unauthorized work, so I probably wouldn't do this.

Btw, all the stuff I was talking is about full-time job, not 100% sure about part-time though

That's fantastic. One more major thing for me to worry about.
I am also expected to graduate in Nov/Dec, btw.

I thought about failing or dropping a course so that I could delay my graduation until Dec 2020 (studying last semester part-time). But by chance if IRCC issues me a study permit while I am doing my last semester, I would have to do the entire procedure again.

Does anybody have any updates? I heard people who applied for study permit extensions much later than Feb-March are getting approved earlier.

My sister applied in June no news yet. Her permit is expiring in September.
