We have to wait a bit longer..... They are in the process to change the whole process ...
Solicitation is being issued to satisfy the requirement of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)] (the "Client") for Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) under the TBIPS Supply Arrangement (SA) method of supply.

This requirement is for the provision of Informatics professional services to rapidly develop and implement digital solutions and supporting technologies in response to the emergency situation created by COVID-19. The Contractor(s) will bring knowledge, capabilities, and experience to support CICs response to the COVID-19 situation.

CIC needs to act quickly to develop updated and new strategies; and processes and digital systems to cope with the rapid change it is undergoing. These include updating systems and processes for internal staff, partner organizations and re-thinking and re-designing how CIC provides its services to its clients within Canada and around the world, leveraging digital processes wherever possible thus minimizing the need for in-person interaction or paper-processes for the safety of CICs staff, our clients and community.

I applied for PR card renewal last month which will expire this July. I filed my citizenship last January and received my AOR last March.

My PR card expiring in Feb 2021 and I applied for its renewal recently. It is now showing 299 days of processing times for PR renewals though.
I applied for Citizenship in January, hoping to be done with the process in 12 months and before my PR expires. But clearly that's not the case anymore, as I still haven't received an AOR as many others here..

I called IRCC today and they said they just started processing January applications again. So I think it's gonna be at least 3-month delay added to your applications.

Not sure how reliable the info from the call center is though.

Hope is what moves people lives! Secondly, as things are gradually coming back to new normal, I would expect IRCC to resume their activities too!

If you read my post in that thread, I said I was hopeful. Hopefulness seasoned with being realistic. Yes, IRCC are bound to start processing again eventually.

This is what I heard from a couple of friends: IRCC has started remote citizenship ceremony recently via Zoom video application (apparently a couple of weeks ago) - my friends received a phone call in this regard and did their ceremony via Zoom.

There is no news regarding online exam or anything like that.

MY application was received on Jan 20th, and no news after that (no AOR, nothing). Just someone named T A signed it, and from another thread apparently a someone named Thomas Allen usually receives letters over there.

Any updates from anyone??

My package was delivered by Fedex on January 17th and still no news, nor AOR. I sent them an inquiry via web form and received an email response today - a standard one, that my file is not in the system yet and there are delays due to Covid and this situation is normal as they are processing applications received before Jan 14.
