hate to rain on your parade, even if your application is being processed her visa needs to be approvedas well.

Yes, this will def help. The more docs the better. I put 8-10 week. However, when she lands, she will tell CBSA, she want to stay as long as possible while her Outland application is being processed. If they give her 6 months or more, she will apply for OWP.

Is your spouse eligible to apply for an open work permit given his/her sponsorship application is Outland?
I am under the impression that spouse can apply for OWP while being in canada with only an inland sponsorship in progress but not Outland

When submitting the online app, did you pick other and enter “COVID-19” as instructed?

I would reach out to your local MP first before CCing others. It’s kind of like jumping the Chain of Command. The others I CCd were the CIC Minister, Deputy PM, OUTCAN VO and VO Ambassador.

-Cover letter
-invite letter
-proof of status (citizen or PR)
-proof of immediate family relationship
-income info for both
-health/life insurance quote
-flight quote
-quarantine plan
-post quarantine plan (with and or without COVID regional restrictions)

Would you be so kind as to share what proof did you provide to show strong ties to country?
Also did they ask for wife's bank account for last 4 months?
How much money would you say an applicant would need to show (if applicable)

ties: my wife rents and lives alone, no property or assets. Her mom and bro live in the same city. Not much ties.
Employment: Airline staff 10+ years
Fund: $5500 CAD 8-10 weeks visit (I did mention in the cover and invitation letter that I will fully inancially support her visit)
They did not ask for anything.

Note: when we applied for TRV last year, the only reason for refusal was that she lacks information of her visit in the refusal letter and in GCMS (application done with agent). No statement like “we are not satisfied that you will leave Canada”...

Congrats for getting the TRV.I was also in process of collecting documents to apply for visitor visa for my spouse.Is it mandatory to get flight quotes.Flights are still not operational from India.So not sure how would I provide the flight quote.

Also do we need to provide the quarantine plan at this moment?.I was actually looking for new house for rent and by the wife my spouse is planning to visit ,I would probably have a new address.So not sure if it would create a problem adding quarantine detail now

Shouid I apply for her TRV? We do not have file number also as of now so dont know what to do.

If you cannot get a flight quote explain it in your cover letter. Definitely include a quarantine plan which tells the officer you understand the plan and will adhere to it.

Unfortunately the CIC minister will not give you anything directly it has to go through MP’s office. If you got a letter from your MP go with it man. However, I think your MPs office needs to escalate it to the CIC ministers office. Your MP needs to contact the CIC minister stating that the new policies as of June 8th are not being implemented by the VO.
