I got below webform reply on May 11 but when I called IRCC 3 days after this response, agent said eligibility status is still not started. Can someone please help understand what it means. My AOR is Dec 28, 2019.

• The Case Processing Center in Edmonton, Alberta, is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirementsunder the immigration program for which you have applied,
  • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
• The background verifications are currently in process.
• The security verifications are not in process yet.
• The criminality verifications are currently in process.

My request was about the proof of funds, they have questions about some transactions and want to know the source. nothing special since all my funds are legit. But this is a positive sign, the progress is moving....

hi, did you add the bank statement in your proof of fund? was it a big difference between the current balance and the average six-month balance in the bank letter? did the average six-month balance meet the requirement?

Nope not yet, I received two ghost updates one was back in Feb and the one in April

Great. I got an update after the disappearance of the progress bar.... I noticed many had written on different forums about the update after the system glitch that's why.

Raised web form and got following reply.
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information on file and can confirm that:

The eligibility is valid.
The criminal background verification is valid.
The security background verification has not been initiated.
· The file is currently located at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

What will be the next step . How long it can take?

I got one ghost update on Friday. I remembered that I got one in the end of February. Besides, I got another one the day after I went for a biometeric in January . How many updates I should have to get PPR? Can anybody guess what the condition of my application is? I am an inland applicant.

Try a webform (lol). But seriously though, it means your application is being processed so try sending a webform to say you saw where your application was updated but nothing has been changed on the status. That's what I did when I called and the agent told me the same thing my last webform enquiry had said-eligibility and criminality passed.
