NOC C which immigration program to choose?

Hi there!

I have siblings with their families living in Ontario and Montreal.

For the past 5 years I have job experience mostly in NOC C, roughly customer service. And I also intend to live in Ontario province closer to my siblings.

I browsed all immigration programs and found out that only few of them “let you have” NOC C in order to be eligible to apply.

They are:

1) Montreal PNP (French Knowledge)

2) Alberta Opportunity stream (u need to have temporary resident status temporary like “foreign worker” at the time you apply


3) New bruinswick PNP

4) Manitoba PNP

5) Atlantic Intermediate skilled program



And non of them are for Ontario. I don’t want to lie and say to the officers that I intend to live in those provinces. It’s also risky, because I can have my RP card being annulated or not prolonged.

Also, i heard from immigration consultants that if I apply for other provinces, once they know I have siblings on Ontario and Montreal, they won’t believe me and won’t approve my application, assuming that I would eventually move to Ontario/Montreal ‍

Please, guys, help me out, correct me if I am wrong and there are immigration programs available for Ontario for which can be eligible with my job experience in NOC C.

Unfortunately Ontario has no stream where your work experience would qualify.

I got PR with this category!

You can apply for YNP with 6 months work experience of NOC C or D.
I know it's hard to move to Yukon and find a sponsored job now because of COVID-19 though..

I am afraid I won’t be able to live and stay there my whole life... which this PNP wants me to do..

You're welcome.
You don't have to live in Yukon in your entire life, you are able to move other provinces after getting PR

Yes, but i will have to renew it every 5 years... After I move to another province I don’t think they will renew it... they can simply revoke it
They are not naive as well I guess

Secondly, Canada charter of rights allow you to work and live in any part of the country once you obtained residency. However, you do have a genuine concern , but its not like you HAVE to live in the province forever.

Yes, I did my research. And some of the you tubers say it’s quite risky to move after you are given RP and rules are getting stricter and stricter day by day, because of such immigrants. Do you have any experience in that?

No I do not have personal experience with that, but I know a few people that did. However, they waited a few years close to them becoming citizens and move to another Province.

Youtubers are not experts so take their advice with a grain of salt. You should move to the province that selected you and try to find employment. If you can’t find employment you are free to move. I would keep records of your attempt to settle in the province that selected you in case you are asked for proof you tried to settle.
