Can you share the trick to get connected with a Service Canada rep?there's like a SIN Application Number given at the end of the online application, you did not get it?
I called Service Canada this morning, the agent said as long as I got a confirmation number/SIN Application Number at the end of the online process that should be okay... and they will respond to me by mail after 20 business days...

I filled up this form last week, didn't get any call back though...Those who are trying to call Service Canada and having no luck talking to an agent, you can schedule a callback here: https://www.canada.ca/service-canada-e-service
I filled this form on March 26 th and got a call back by April 14 th and he says the same wat we see for mail application. Who ever filled online SIN application can expect the SIN in mail around 20 business days. Not much info to talk to an agent.I filled up this form last week, didn't get any call back though...
I think ur passport and COPR would not have local Canada address. That may be the reason for not being processed. Don’t worry they will return the passport and copr in the same package to the from address. Wait for 20 business days from the package received at their end.Hi, I'm experiencing similar issues to everyone above. I mailed my application in on Friday, April 3, only to find out they started accepting online applications the next Monday. According to Canada Post, they received my application on April 8th. Today (April 21st), I received a letter from Service Canada (sent on April 13th) that says:
"We were not able to process your SIN online request as certain essential documentation pertaining to your application was missing." It then lists the documents required, and tells me to reapply online.
I'm super confused because
1. I applied by mail, not online and
2. I definitely gave the all the documents they required (the mail application even has a checklist).
3. Even if the online application were open (which it's not), I can't apply online because the SIN office still has my passport AND my COPR letter.
Like everyone else, I've tried calling numerous times only to get "we are experiencing longer than usual wait times" etc. etc. before it hangs up on me. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm currently without a passport, a COPR, and my PR Card application is completely AWOL (I landed on March 12 and the application status website says it can't find my application).
I have a local address. I'm in Ontario.I think ur passport and COPR would not have local Canada address. That may be the reason for not being processed. Did you submit any proof for address ?I have a local address. I'm in Ontario.
My passport has a US address because I just landed from there, but my COPR (stapled in my passport) has my Canadian address. The mailed application form only requires a proof of identity document. I've read it through ten times and no where does it say you need to send a proof of address.Did you submit any proof for address ?
Does your passport has Canada address ?
I don't remember where, but it was clearly written that you have to give proof of address in Canada. I sent my rental agreement. My passport has a US address because I just landed from there, but my COPR (stapled in my passport) has my Canadian address.
