I do recognize that some groups and/or countries might face an easier time when trying to find a job in Canada. For example, based on a WES research, my country is #2 among the ones with the highest employment rates among newcomers. But, between the top 4 countries in that ranking, 3 of them are from countries where the majority of people could be classified as a "minority" (Philippines, Jamaica and India). So, I can't really comment on that issue. Being a minority (LGBT), I've learned to never doubt about someone's struggles regarding prejudice that they may perceive or suffer.

What I can say is that carrying a mortgage is a burden that pretty much everyone will have to carry. I do it here in Brazil, I'll do it again in Canada. But, when you compare Canada to other countries, such as US, for me at least it looks likes that Canada is way less likely to prejudice anyone because of their race, at least compared to the US. But, I've never lived there. I mean... over 50% of Canadians are either immigrants or sons of immigrants. It doesn't look like you can't find a better place on earth to be an immigrant. Is it perfect? No. But, is there really a better place to be an immigrant than Canada?
I gotta say that Canada is very LGBT friendly. While there is some discrimination just like any other place in the world, I am sure you will be able to overcome it as long as you don't give up. Anti-immigrant sentiment is present all across the world, so it does not surprise me when I run into such people in Canada. The key here is to not fall into the trap of racism, I know many who pull the race card yet they are not any different when they deal with people of 'different' origin. To be honest, I do not feel any different in the US as I see many crying about how racist the US is. I have family and friends there who are well off despite the racism. Personally, I think you will appreciate living in Canada as an LGBTQ+ individual. I heard it is tough in Brazil.

Surely points will start to drop due to people not being able to graduate from uni, many not being able to gain Canadian work experience right now and the obvious, people not being able to immigrate to Canada currently.

Do we think it will drop below 467 at all?
I think it's possible points might drop if people have been laid off during this time. But why do you think people won't be able to graduate from uni? Students have online options for finals and they don't need a ceremony for graduation. Also why would the travel ban affect CRS cutoff? Wouldn't it really only affect people needing COPR?

CEC PNP 465 3900(3200+700) multiple draws-calculated guess.
Indeed, I think it will be 463 if CEC+PNP category and If it is a normal draw then might be 465 or 466.
Furthermore. due to the current situation, Canada needs more funds so, they might invite more people but they don't want to take any risks due to COVID 19 that is why I think they will invite CEC+PNP.
China is still struggling to finish this virus completely but till now china still getting 50+ cases daily and they lockdown since Dec.

Not sure from where you encounter all such people. 15 of my friends migrated to different cities - Montreal, Manitoba, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary (not Toronto) and they all are have an overwhelmingly high standard of living. They are into industries such as IT, Banking, Accountancy, Electronics, Automobile and so on. Both them and their spouses are also working and both together take home $120K per annum (after tax).
Their acquaintances over there too have a super comfortable life.
None of them neither had Canadian Experience nor references. They all came there -> searched jobs -> got it-> now rocking

And in case of Toronto - If every Tom, Dick, and Harry from Punjab, Andhra of India and other places of the world just flock to Toronto as an army ignoring the rest of Canada, then yes, they might do menial jobs. I'm sure that you too will move to Toronto and not to any other cities.

My friends were very selective and that's why they scattered across all those cities and completely averted Toronto.

So it is a BIIIIIIIG No that there are no jobs in Canada. There are wayy too many opportunities if one is really smart enough to move out of Toronto and not to flood it.
Montreal and Calgary are well-renowned for calling applicants instantly when one shows interest in a position unlike Toronto where one has to wait ages for an interview to call him or her

So if you leave Toronto, tons of well paying jobs with super quality of life. If you still wanna flood Toronto, enjoy driving Uber along with the person you met
Not sure if you get my point, someone claimed that new immigrants cannot find jobs but driving Uber, but I have spoke to many Uber drivers who are immigrants in Toronto, and the majority of them have a full time job.

as CIC has published number of candidates between 450-500 in a class of 10 points , I tried to fit in a new curve through these points andtried to extrapolate the number of candidates having given CRS scored.

conditions: these are expected numbers derived from best fitting curve from past data
the numbers are based on the statistics of 13th March published in the last draw. the numbers will be different today but can give an idea how he candidates are distributed.

It is hard to guess the cut-off score due to the CEC and the PNP draws. Also, the distribution data is pretty dated now; so, it really depends upon the number of new candidates. It is safe to assume that the score will be around 470. I don't see it dropping down to mid 460s right away due to the number of candidates in the range 461-470. 461-470 had around 10,000 candidates while 471-480 had around 1000 candidates, that's quite the difference. We also have candidates with scores higher than 480.

^^ So by that table, you expect it to be 467 as the cutoff?
He didn’t predict what the next cutoff would be but only tried to broaden what they think the previous score distribution released by CIC would have been like if split in specific figures. For instance, 461 = 990.

As a PR you can work anywhere anytime. What is this 2 yr restriction?
