Good day @Omofar
Can I use a family friend(my dad business partner) as a sponsor, since he will provide a letter of sponsorship, or how much fund is required to use a USA PR/citizen Bank statement
Bro, you are going in the wrong direction. I don't know your age, or qualification.

Nevertheless, if you want to use a sponsor and you are between 17-26, then your sponsor should be your parents to avoid any stories if you are close to 30 and are married with children, you should not be having a 3rd party sponsor unless it is a scholarship from a well recognized grant-issuing institution. Any other route is messy and is unlikely to get you an approval.

I wish you the very best.

Please read through the thread sir before writing “Omofar, Omofar up and down” lol.

What is your family friends business with you and your academics? Does he not have other responsibilities or businesses to do with his money?

Why is he sponsoring you when you have a dad who has been the one fending for you? Or has he been the one catering for your needs since childhood? If not, What does he gain from sponsoring you? Infact what is so special about you that will make him spend thousands of dollars on his?

US citizen or not, you got no chance with using his account. Don’t bother with your application using him as your sponsor, that case is closed.

Funds required is similar your full tuition of the duration of studies (minus any deposit paid) + approx $10,500 for living expenses.

Goodluck pal.

Omofar has REPEATEDLY stated that using a sponsor who is not a recognised organisation or parents is often a RED FLAG.

In some cases, justice can be tempered with mercy if you use A SIBLING but you will have to present a strong case. It could be that your parents are not sufficient enough but your brother/sister is like the family caretaker and has enough to sponsor you to acquire a degree and better life.

However, using someone like UNCLE, AUNTY, IN-LAW, FAMILY FRIEND, NEIGHBOR, COUSIN etc really hinders your chances of getting the permit. Like in this economy, who has all that money to spend on someone that’s not directly related to them or have anything to really benefit from the investment? Is like that car dealer man that wants to spend $$$ for someone that he’s not even sure will cross the border of Nigeria ever again. How do you want the VO to believe such story of “he will work for me on his return”?

Most people now add fuel to the fire by going for a second masters or Bsc or diploma that does not even relate with previous studies or work experience.
Someone of 40 will be asking if he can apply for a Bsc?

At times we should put ourselves in the VO’s shoes and ask if we would grant ourselves a visa with such profile.

Let’s learn to do things the right way.
Simply take out few minutes of your time to read the thread , there’s no answer that you will not find. In the case where you eventually do not have an answer, you can now ask.

Making Omofar to constantly invest time & repeat a response can be frustrating.

Time is money please

Good day, i hope we are all doing okay? I'm not here to judge anyone or say anyone is wrong but i feel i should add my two cent. @Chiboy paulson you asked a question few days back.. i hope you see this..you asked if you can use your dad's business partner as your sponsor. to be honest you can package the best application and still be rejected, no one can guarantee you an approval or denial but put yourself in the VO's shoes and that will make it easy. don't let anyone here give you the wrong information or informations they are limited to, people do research EVERYDAY!!! i have seen people and i mean a lot of people use outsiders who are not family as sponsor and get their visa stamped, while those with all the family in the world get rejected. this is Nigeria fam, we always have a way around everything, no matter how difficult, just don't submit a fake document that can be traced.. the truth is, it's not easy to prove why an outsider will want to sponsor you when he has other burden to carry but you cant tell me cause your parents don't have the means to provide doesn't mean you wont have a better life if someone is willing to take the responsibility. don't get it twisted, want to listen to my advice? don't let anyone kill your shine telling you what is possible and what is not.. trying doesn't kill, i have seen people make it out of worst situations.. do you know how many people get their visa stamped through different means everyday in Nigeria but are not on this platform? do you know how many people? you can't tell me they all had rich parents or wealthy uncle with same surname.. nah!.. my advice?

1. get yourself a very very good agent who knows what they do and are good at what they do, an agent with good review.. it is all about convincing the VO.. they are not stupid either, so they understand how everything is.

2. pray, pray hard

that's all and you are good to go..

this is my two cent tho, not here to annoy anyone, not like i know it all, just thought i should give a piece of my own advice.

@uncle poop you have said well.... although through human effort nothing is possible but with God all things are possible.....to make all things clear on this forum to @sky 00797 have seen the impossible become possible in Nigeria all because of God...the church I attend I saw a man given a usa visit visa of 5yrs all because he prayed to God, which if I had asked as a question on this group you would have said it's not possible...not to only @Sky00797 but to everyone in this forum let's try to encourage one another not just bluntly tell shove people off like you do @Sky00797 no offense but it's the truth...even if it's not possible with a little word of encouragement you can lift people spirit up and direct them in right track not say all is not possible....my brother with God all is possible even if he uses someone account not related to him and prays fervently to God I tell you he would get it....this may sound offensive but sorry to those who find it to be....but remember word of encouragement goes a long way...

Hello All,

Normally, I do not respond to moronic comments, I just ignore them and move along, but I have seen a moronic comment here, and I think it is my responsibility to address it and nip it in the bud so that this thread will not become a magnet for other morons!!

@Sky00797, please if you have time keep doing what you are doing here and disregard any nonsensical statement! God bless you..

I refer everyone to the first post on this thread, it states clearly if you want the truth, you can come here, if you want to be pampered, to be told that horses can fly, that fairy godmother is here to save your application that is not properly put together, then please go elsewhere. You have not been forced to come here. I am not here to give fake/false hope to anybody. It is not by force to go to Canada, if your parents cannot afford it, consider Peru, Argentina or Angola. There is also nothing wrong if you stay back in Naija and hustle, you will eventually make it one way or another. But to come here and try to undermine free advice given based on years of experience, research-based on facts and not blind optimism is absolutely irresponsible.

It's not by force to go to Canada, so what, if your in-law or uncle poses as your sponsor, and you get there and they don't pay your fees, or then you have to hustle, you get caught and are deported. You continue to block the way for other genuine people. You can't afford to go to Covenant University, you want to go to McMaster or Mcgill? Oga I have a put on this thread, how to evaluate yourself. The misguided ones talking nonsense about the testimony of man getting visas have forgotten what Jesus said about a building counting the cost before embarking on any project Even Christ counted the cost before he decided to come and die for humanity. The bible is clear in revelations, they asked who will go, and there was silence in the whole heaven because nobody wan come suffer, the knew the costs, but Jesus, The Lamb of God stood up and said I will go.

I have said it many times here, EVALUATE yourself first, check whether you can meet the minimum requirements, many people have approached me, but when they don't meet the requirement, I turn them down, they can look for other people who will deceive them. If you are caught using deception in your application you can be banned or excluded from Canada from 2-10 years. All embassies around the world now share data, once you have messed up somewhere before, you have messed up your self everywhere, you previous refusals everything is in the database, so once you apply they will check and if they see dishonesty in your records, you will be refused everywhere you go. Imagine you you are trapped in Nigeria because you cannot apply to any other country because of a bad record because a stupid agent gave you rubbish advice?

Well, that is your own cup of tea... But don't come here and undermine what I am doing here, I will shut you down asap. Start your own thread, and be giving fake and foolish religious advice there. Here we believe in Faith and Works.

You work hard to meet the requirements, and pray that you have favor to get the visa, you can't just go to the embassy when you are not qualified. Some guys have come on this thread in the past to talk nonsense, I adviced them that their nonsense cannot work, they mocked me and sneered at me that I am a learner... I am here today still waiting for them to come back and tell me they got their visa, but they are nowhere to be found.

In closing come here for facts, for hard truths, you don't like it, find another thread, please.

Thank you.

Yh sure he said it was hard but never said it was not possible....
Pls don't go the short cu
Doubting Thomas.

Read the response again & previous responses throughout the thread & analyse your chances well.

It’s not possible, period.
Don't mind them, that is why they are giving ircc the chances of pouring refusal on Nigerians. They seek for explanation but will never buy ur idea. Until Nigeria stop short cutting, Nigeria refusal will keep climbing

It's like you guys don't get I ain't going short cut infact all my applications are loged in correctly because of this thread but have seen most comments which are a bit offensive....yes hard truths are good it all depends on how you approach people, you said Jesus had to make tough decisions and all, fine but if he was not welcoming to people, if he didn't have the words of encouragement, if he always shunned people off, his ministry won't have been successful....yeah people are trying on this group without the right approach people on this forum people would be afraid to ask questions...weather appropriate or not and thinking they might get shunned ....I never said what sky00797 did ain't good in fact he has tried because of his response but some people nead clearity...they need to digest all...we are all different some can tolerate and some cannot....I ain't fighting with anybody this group helped me alot seriously..... nigeria is hard and people are looking for shortcuts fine but majority of those looking for shortcuts are people who are told bluntly....if you try you go fail.. Galatians 5vs 22 talks about fruit of the spirit where it mention temperance irrelevant of the questions even if it not possible say it in the nicest way possible....Mr omofar and sky am not teaching you how to run your forum and am not trying to give negative vibes and all I only asked that question because I referred someone to this group who had that same issue.....to round it up yeah hard truths is compulsory but with hostility and being able to embrace all this group would thrive....and sorry if I offended any one including mr sky 00797

If they used to give red wine through the phone, you will be getting a carton now.

I saw that “moronic” comment when I woke up. You actually defined it properly , it is actually moronic. I did not even have the strength to reply when I was seeing Church this , church that.

With the way Nigerians are quick to shout God in their defence, you will think that by now Nigeria will be the best country in the world. With all the prayers and jumping up and down the mountain, you will think Nigeria will be booming. Like you said God only blesses your work when you have done the right thing. You have to obey the rules first!

I was once on this thread also asking questions about studying in Canada, then I didn’t even have the privilege of getting a detailed response from Omofar. I just took my time one day and read word to word from the 1st-last page. After reading, I just stopped my application to MUN and started looking for other means. My profile is even better than some people here but I’d didn’t want to try my luck especially with the whole sponsorship thing. One thing that I have never gotten in my life is a VISA REFUSAL and I did not want Canada to dash me that. Having that is already a dint and might hinder your future applications in all countries.

Truth be told like Omofar said, Canada is not for everyone. Let’s learn to cut our coat according to our sizes. If you or your parents cannot afford it or you cannot get a government sponsorship, look for other alternatives!! There’s Europe with low fees and various countries offering quality education (even though most of you are only looking to elope and not actually study). You all keep making things harder for genuine applicants. Uncle this , Friend that, In-law bullshit.

From April 1st , Germany is putting more strict rules for Nigerian applicants. This was a country where getting a visa was very easy. Just show your blocked account and bid your family farewell.

I understand and sympathise with everyone who is looking to leave Nigeria because of the situation at hand, however I wouldn’t lie to you if you don’t meet the requirements.

Yes I am a critic, I accept.
Thanks for noticing, but please let’s do things the right way first before praying to God.
