Regarding COPR, yes they send it along with the stamped passport
Were you not required to send it with the additional package? If they don’t have a Mexican police certificate from you yet then yes you have to send it.Hello!
One question:
I received a Final request for police certificates (multiple). My husband has only ever lived for longer than 6 months in Mexico and in Canada. Do I have to provide the Canadian? or just the Mexican? I was only aware that the Canadian is upon a specific request. Does anyone know? Thanks!
Hello! Were you not required to send it with the additional package? If they don’t have a Mexican police certificate from you yet then yes you have to send it.
Normally they do the Canadian side on their own unless they specifically request something from you. You can always inquire, but for sure you need to send the Mexican one.Hello!
No, it stated that I needed to provide it after I submitted the application, that’s why we didn’t. But since my husband was a worker in Canada for 2 years, I am unsure that the “multiple” part means the Canadian as well...
This is what I got:Normally they do the Canadian side on their own unless they specifically request something from you. You can always inquire, but for sure you need to send the Mexican one.
We only sent the New Zealand one with our initial application and they took care of the Canadian side, but our country specific requirements are different, so I don’t want to assume either.
Did they not state exactly what they expected you to send?
Is this what you got in the letter ?This is what I got:
“Police Certificates (Multiple): Please provide a police certificate from the country where you currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more; and the country where you’ve spent most of your adult life since the age of 18. You are required to obtain a Police Certificate from that country’s law enforcement authorities. Please send the original police certificate to this office as soon as you receive it. If your police certificate indicates any charges and/or convictions, you must also provide court documents detailing the disposition of each charge and the sentence of each conviction. This must be received at this office by: 2020/03/28”
I believe is only the Mexican as well... I hope so though!
Yes. So, we will be sending the original one directly to IRCC Mississauga (that's the office where our file is at). Hopefully we'll get in time, they just provided is with 30 days....Is this what you got in the letter ?
