I got the letter the January 28th and there was no availability in Vancouver until the first week of March!
I had to book for February 25th in New Westminster, which is like 1 hour away
I see that appointments are always 14 days apart minimum in USA. How everyone is able to complete biometrics the next day after request ?

I have not gotten my letter yet, but I checked at my local office in the US out of curiosity and they had appointments for the next day open, and for most days in the next two weeks. Actually, they didn't allow you to book an appointment more than 14 days in advance. It probably depends what location you live.

Yes if they are not allowing to book before 14 days, then we will end up with a waiting of 14 days for nothing. How were you able to check for next day appointments when the selection on dates before 14 days is disabled? May I know the location in US that you are referring?

I am in Boston, MA. They are now booked full for next week, so it clearly varies. I haven't been checking regularly. They show availability for the 21 and 24-28 currently.

I haven't tried, but I dont have my letter yet. Unfortunately with my AOR date I probably am going to get the BIL while I'm on vacation next week (in Vancouver, which I hear from this thread has no availability), so I'll just book an appointment for when I get home.

I haven't received MEP or BIL yet however, I got this email that your profile has updated, and realized that status bar has appeared in my profile and my UCI # has changed.

Does this happen to anyone else?
Yes! I am sure you will get your MEP soon! Good luck

It is perfectly normal. I got request on Jan 27th, and Service Canada centre close to me was full till 10th Feb. I drove 50km to get a date on 6th Feb.
Thanks Abhi, I completed my Biometrics today and it's updated on my profile. Just checked my application status its 18% now.

Hello All, anyone here who did Biometrics after receiving AOR from USA? I got the Biometric request letter on Jan 24th and the latest appointment available was Feb 7th. Is it normal? What would be the next step. Please let me know. Thanks!
Hello there - I believe in US, you would need to go to USCIS office. During my turn, I did walk-in to the nearest USCIS center the very next day(With an appointment letter with much later date), they did allow. You can try if this is possible @ your nearest USCIS location.

Hey Guys lil help here sorry for posting in the wrong thread but you guys will be knowing better, in my post ITA forms my Education qualification is getting picked up from first option as Masters and not from the second option where we enter ECA number and Canadian equivalency (mine is one year diploma) , so my score gets increased by 7 points i.e 478 in “preview score” .
It comes down to original (471) when I reduce Master to one year diploma in 1st option , but then it will look different from pre ITA locked details what should I do ?

19 Dec ITA so only 10 days left for me.

Hello, from what I understand your pre- ITA CRS score is going to be different from the post. I think there are two options, the 1st which is that, if 478 ( new score) is still higher than the CRS score cut for Dec 19th, the Visa Officer still considers your application regardless of the increase after recalculation. I feel it's like a gamble though. The 2nd option which is to decline the ITA and wait for another draw with your new score 478. You can find out more info. I wish you the best

I’m above Cut off in any case it was 469 for my draw, only thing is if I should go with original 471 or increased 478???

I had the same issue just like urz. I submitted it with the increased score bcz that's their system glitch not ours. However our score is still above the cut off and we have given all the details of ECA report. No need to worry

I think you can go with the 478 since that's what the system calculated and you have the ECA documents to prove it. You can write an LOE if you're still worried.
