November - 2019 Citizenship Applications

I received my AOR today just 4 hrs ago. Can't remember when did I send my application but it was in the last week of november and I did send it as express and I do not know when did they receive it because I lost the tracking number SMH.

I was trying to link my application to my account but it is not even giving me those options. For citizenship category it is only showing 2 sub-categories:
1. Proof of citizenship
2. Search of citizenship

can someone please tell me when can I link my application and how?

You'll be able to see when they received it on ECAS by tomorrow atleast

Also I have been wondering if the area you live in is a factor of faster or slower processing?
For example would it be faster for an applicant from Sudbury ON or Barrie ON than an applicant from Brampton, ON.

I have the same question as I live near Ottawa. So we send the application all the way to Sydney, NS so it can be distributed to the nearest IRCC office?? It makes sense to have different processing times if that’s the case.

Ohh, congrats. Well mine delivered on 25th Nov and still waiting.

Mine was also delivered Nov 25th if they were to send it back would they send an email explaining why or So they just send it back? I rushed through my application (list my passport so had to apply for a new passport, PR card and citizenship all at once ) and have a feeling it’ll come back

Unfortunately, they will just send it back. I hope that's not the case for both of us

Now something is weird is going on. I've been patiently waiting for my AOR email all this time and it never came in. Only for me to log into ECAS today to discover that my Application was received on February 4th. Did anyone else experience this? I checked a copy of my submitted forms and my email is correct. Scanned through my inbox and spam folders and still nothing. I will still have to contact IRCC to find out more.

So to everyone still expecting their AOR, still log into the ECAS with your UCI to check your status.

It happens, sometimes they make a mistake when entering your email address. Double check to make sure they have the right one because that's where you get most of the communications

UPDATE: Called the IRCC contact number 1-888-242-2100 and spoke with an agent. Wait time was roughly around 20 mins. My email address on file was missing an alphabet. Unfortunately, the agent is not permitted to change email addresses for callers. I was given a link to update my email address which takes about 5 business days. I will call back around next week to confirm if the update was successful.

Anyway, the agent was kind enough to give me my application number and confirmed that everything is OK with my application.

I sent mine in Nov. The package returned as I submitted academic IELTS instead of General one. Resent it and was received in Feb 3rd,
How long should I wait now for AOR?! Should be on same timeline as Nov Applicant or would it be as Feb applicants ?!
