December 2018 - Citizenship Applications

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here is in the same boat as me and have taken any steps that i could do as well to get an update on my citizenship application that I sent on Dec 31st 2018 from GTA.
Immigration received my application on Jan 3rd 2019 and AoR March 6th 2019. The last update on the online application status is " in process" since March 25th 2019. Today, it will be 1 year that I applied for citizenship application but I have no updates since than.

In July 2019, I also applied for Common Law sponsorhip for my partner through a lawyer. The UCI for both the applications ( common law sponsorhsip and my citizenship application is same). And later in n Sept 2019, I updated change of address.

Could this be a cause of delay? Has any one been in this situation where application time has surpassed 1 year?

It all depends which office is processing your file. You are still in normal processing time, I would say if you have passed 14 months since you have submitted your file then you should have concern. There are many people who are in the same boat as you are. UCI always stay same for all kind of immigration files that is your lifetime ID with immigration

Wrote my test today. 20/20
During the interview the officer noticed that I didn't include two of my trips back in 2014 (genuine mistakes) before I became a PR. I couldn't find one of the itineraries so she asked me to sign a form for them to verify my travel record with the U.S. The officer told me it shouldn't be a problem because I have enough days (6-month buffer) to cover those 2 trips (~ 3 weeks in total). Hopefully I will receive the oath invite soon.

Hello everyone,

I used to be an active member during the PR processing, not to just get information for myself but also to help anyone who is looking for one.
Got busy after that with kids and family, so didn't really spend much time here.
Been a silent follower of this thread for the past few months as i fall into this group. Now the journey came to an end as we took the Oath on Jan 07 as Canadian citizens.
Thank you everyone, who has been helpful all through this journey.
I wish i could stick around helping people looking for information but priorities changed and that wont be possible anymore.
