Hi Seniors,

My wife is the outland PA who is currently in Canada for a two weeks vacation. We just received the Biometrics Instruction Letter. Question is, can she give her biometrics in Canada or does she have to give it in her home country once after her vacation?

Someone here posted recently - don't recall in which thread - that they did exactly this, did it in Canada. I believe the letter gives a link to locations, try it and see.

These are likely largely countries for which more in depth security checks are standard. procedure. I'm sure for other reasons as well, but I'm referring to countries for which applications are rarely sent to Mississauga.
I'm not sure to be honest. I don't feel as any additional security check was done in our case based on what I know. But at the same time all applications that should have been sent to my VO, have actually been sent there and not to Mississauga. I don't know any exceptions.

Got request for biometrics today.

However, tried to set up an appointment with the VFS office in Los Angeles (PA is based in LA), appointment confirmed and got the appointment letter that needs to be printed out.

The file is encrypted and the password format given is not working. Has anyone encountered this before?

It normally comes with an instruction how to open. Mine says first 4 letters of given name +DOB DD/MM/YYYY format. Depends on the instruction.

My application was delivered to Sydney on November 15th and still no email AOR1 yet. Anyone in the same situation? I am really worried as it looks like everyone here got it... :(

Hey buddy,

Yeah I got the same format password instruction. Not working. I'll have my wife look into it and I will let you know.

Which country? Note that we do not know much about security check process, I am guessing that in some cases they just do database checks and someone makes a judgment about whether something additional is required. They may also send when they believe there is a likelihood interviews will be needed (doesn't mean it will be, just the likelihood). Clearly to me for some countries these are standard procedures.

Note I'm only inferring from what we see typically here, I could be wrong.

Hello Everyone,

It seems everyone already got their AOR1:) but as you can see on the november outland tracker I'm the only one not received yet :( should i call immigration to follow up? And mostly 30 days. I submitted my application and it was received in nova scotia office on November 18. I don't know what else to do :(

It is probably too early to contact and to worry. If you look at tracker for previous months they generally took thirty to sixty days.
