@Jpsingh77 My AOR is 7th May. I called at IRCC somewhere on august and came to know that my file is at NDVO so they dont have access to my file and told me to contact NDVO. When I called at NDVO Automated machine says they dont provide any information for IMMIGRATION/ PR APPLICATION. last week I raised a WEBFORM and waiting for the response for any updates. I dont have any information about my status.
By reading your post and Mr Jpsingh it seems that my file is in canada not in ndvo as the lady didn't tell me so .I will confirm on Monday. Is there no such no for ndvo?
Thanks Best luck

Hi,

AOR - May 14th so I completed 6 months yesterday. Got the standard update that my application is taking longer than usual to process.

Application status says:
Background check: We are processing your background check.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirements.
Medical passed, Bio metrics completed, interview not required, no additional documents requested.

I have to say I was disheartened when the 6 months timeline was crossed but thought I will check in here and see if this is something to be worried about. Have considered raising a webform or even ordering GCMS notes but not sure if its time to raise the panic alarms yet. My only concern is that my biometrics was updated on July 11th and since then its been 4 months and I haven't received any new updates. Should I be concerned at this stage or this is part of the normal process and due to the volume processing times are just longer now?
My agent told its normal to be late by 1 or 2 months now a days.
Still we can either call or raise a webform for our satisfaction. We cant do much though.Yeah may be due to high volume.

Hello guys!

AOR: 14 May 2019
Medicals: 20 June 2019
Biometric: 27 June 2019
Called IRCC on 12 November 2019 (Was told that our background check was in its final stage and other aspects look fine. The agent also informed that it might take a little longer than the 6 months period).
PPR: 14 November 2019

We got the PPR exactly on the last day of our 6 months timeline. Although we have not participated in this thread, have been a silent observer of the discussions, especially towards the end of the the term. The updates were very helpful and made us have some peace of mind that there were many others in the same boat (especially at a time when every day was difficult to pass awaiting response frm IRCC). Thank you all, and I wish the best of luck to those who are yet to hear!

Congrats! I've been in a similar boat and I tried to just remember to be quietly patient through the 6 months. I kinda got a bit bothered when the 6 months passed, but a day or two later I got the email as well.

Hi.I tried calling as u mentioned above. But it says due to high volume of calls presently we are unable to transver ur call to an agent.U may try calling later. It does not give any waiting time.Neither i heard any music. There was silence and call was still going on.What it cud be?
Hello! Even we faced a similar problem when we called exactly at 8AM EST. However, after repetitive trials, when we called an hour/ hour and half later, it got connected to an agent, with a waiting time of 29 minutes.

We guess the first time we called, there might've been too many people in the queue trying to reach IRCC, which might be the same case for you. So keep trying!

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Subsequent to my call to the IRCC agent in Canada, I raised Webforms both to IRCC Canada as well as NDVO.
I received the same response from IRCC Canada, asking me to connect with NDVO, while I am still waiting for the response from NDVO.

Btw, I received a ghost update on the same day as the generic response to my Webform query...not sure if the ghost update was due to Webform or the actual movement of my file.

Just keeping my fingers crossed.

All the best for your case.
