I have got pcc done for me and my husband with old passport and recently renewed passports, do we need to do the pcc again since the passport number in the application will get updated to new one.
Contact IRCC directly on this issue. Do it via email or Twitter handle.
Or wait for a reply from someone more knowledgeable.

I have a birthday this December and my score will drop after that as well.
Aside from boosting our score, sadly there's no much we can do :(

CIC is making things increasingly difficult for people with 35+ age.

It is actually the system of selection that is not favouring us.
The fact that they only consider 3 years of experience for maximum possible points is disheartening. People in their 30s have a lot of experience to utilise the opportunities. IRCC should have considered this.

I really wish if there was a system to compensate age with work experience or may be showing more funds.

Well, showing more funds is an option, but a lot more funds need to be shown, approximately $500k and an investment in the range of $200k to 300k, depending on province and type of investment. Eg, Saskatchewan requires an investment of $200k and total net worth of around $350k in agricultural entrepreneur immigration.

If we had 500 CAD to invest, why would we have thought about immigration anyways?

It's a mode of immigration, people do that. That's why IRCC has included it as an option because people have the money, and Canada needs it. Also the reason this whole immigration thing is also called Economic Immigration.

Hi I have a question. While filling out the post-ITA questions, i came to the statutory questions section. My OPT in the US got rejected because the application was not completed before the deadline. Does this mean i have to answer yes to the statutory question that talks about visa, permis being rejected?? OPT is not a visa, and i am not sure it counts as a permit either. Any ideas?

OPT is not considered as visa. Answer NO to your statutory question.

We would have still managed to show the double or triple of what is now required in the express entry, but not 200k or 500k .

Pcc is tied to individual, not passport.

Agreed. I am thinking of US as plan B...

Please think again lol. I'm not sure on what basis you made that bold claim. US immigration is 10x times harder than Canada and the involvement of luck is way higher across the border. I'm someone who ran away from US to Canada because of immigration. Hope you do some research before getting yourself into another dead-end tunnel :)
