Bro. few questions - In order to qualify for 30 additional points for Canadian Education, Would any Canadian Masters Degree ( 1 or 2 years ,Course Based or Thesis) qualify for 30 points? or is there a requirement that it should be related to our field of study or work experience? or should the Canadian Degree Fall under NOC Code A or B?. Situation I am facing right now is my experience is in IT ( >10 Years - SQL DBA, Datawarehouse Analyst etc.. but not as a Software Engineer (Java,.net etc.. ) and My Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Most of the Course Based 1 year Masters related to IT Field require a Bachelors in Computer Science. I am at 451 and looks no hope based off today's draw. Could you let me know if you know of any such Maters courses and Universities ( Designated Language Institutes) which do not need Bachelors in Computer Science degree and fetch me 30 additional points.
Based on what I read on the CIC Website, there are separate additional points for studying in Canada, & these are the exceptions:-

  • English or French as a Second Language must not have made up more than half your study
  • you must not have studied under an award that required you to return to your home country after graduation to apply your skills and knowledge
  • you must have studied at a school within Canada (foreign campuses don’t count)
  • you had to be enrolled full time for at least eight months, and have been physically present in Canada for at least eight months

Then they might send you invitation . See there is nothing mentioned online about this but lot of my clients who declined Their ONIP invitation they were never invited ever from Ontario.

what’s your score?
Did any of your clients recreated their profile after declining OINP?

Thank you for reply. But I think that the number of people receiving OINP nomination decreasing compared with RoH126 thread. At that time, there were more people asking for the update of CRS score from 4XX to 1000+. Is not it?
After seeing yesterday's draw, I am sure u got ur answer now.

Moreover, it went up. So we will not see 456 anywhere this year.
Yes, I think there is no other chance than applying to PNP's since the score seems never will drop. No matter how increasingly more candidateas receiving invitations every year, the CRS score skyrockets as well.

it gets more complicated.

If you can get PNP nothing like it.. If not, CRS is going to drop.. I don't know how much but 450 seems reachable.. Keep an eye out on PNP thread.. once everyone there gets an ITA that's when CRS would drop..

Ya we did for few clients as they told us but still they didn’t received invitation. Their CRS is in between 455-460 and all tech people but they decline their ONIP invitation in 1st tech draw and then never get invited for that .

They actually do add up different NOC experiences. Who told you they don't?

You can claim experience under different NOCs and they will be added.

What won't be added is your experience requirement for FSW qualification.

you see FSW express entrt is a 2 stage process. The first is your FSW eligibility. It requires you to have 67 points to qualify for express entry. In this stage it asks you if you have had continuous work experience, age, etc. So if you had 2 years experience in one job and then left it and then went to another job, so it would only count for one job since the requirement in this initial assessment is for you to have continuous experience, not with breaks. IF you clear this intial assessment then you submit your profile for CRS calculation (where you get points out of 600, out of which you have 482)

I think the best way, actually, is moving to Canada by studying. Of course, it also requires some nice investment, but least it is the shortest way. )

CRS won't seem to come down less than 460-55

Are we required to upload the transcripts under the education section for foreign credentials for which we have gotten the ECA? Or just the ECA report and degree/passing certificate enough?

Also, Are we required to upload the pay-slips under employment records? Or just reference letter with all the requirements sufficient enough?

Thank you.

Transcripts aren't necessary to upload post-ITA. Just diploma/degree.

Pay stubs are not required, but recommended. IRCC says upload pay stubs "if you have them".

If you don't upload pay stubs, make sure your reference letter matches exactly and is easily verifiable.
