As lot of people got confused with the CPC M letter, here are the main points of it:

Please note that the following documentation is required for your sponsored family members. If not already included in your application, please submit as soon as possible:

1. Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) - If you not paid already, pay it.

2. Passport: Your relative must submit a copy of their passport. If your relative’s passport has expired or will expire within the next 12 months, please have them apply for and submit a copy of their new passport with a validity of 12 months or more. Please ensure to include all pages of the passport.

3. Biometrics : Saying you will get a BIO letter and have to do it at that time.

4. Police Certificate: Saying there will be no separate PCC request. PA and dependent should have the PCC and send it asap. PCC from Canada is not required.

5. Supplementary Information – Travel history (IMM5562): The principal applicant and all family members included in the application who are 18 years of age or older must complete this form.

6. Country Specific Doc: Only applicable if you already didn't provide them to IRCC with the application. These are additional doc requested by IRCC and applicable based on the country. Select "spouse" in the link, whatever is listed under country specific requirement section, you have to provide those docs for applicants/dependents.

Example: For India you have to provide the Birth Certificate (or if the birth certificate is not available Voter ID card and School certificates) for PA and dependents.

7. CV/Resume: Provide a CV for the principal applicant and dependant spouse detailing education and employment information from the age of 18. The CV format can be kept very simple such as:

Name, Last Name
Current address
Phone number

Date of birth
Info about education (names of the schools, dates)
Employment (dates, names of the companies, positions and list of duties)
Personal info (family status, children, hobbies and interests)

Send the documents by email to: with a subject line - PGP-APR

I have no idea on this , do you think LVO have goal set for Quebec province to issue PR for PGP category!!!!

Federal issue PR and CORP not QC. Quebec issue only CSQ.

until CSQ not issue LVO will not issue any visa for QC applicant. And as per MIFI statement CSQ delay will not affect LVO federal processing.

what about QC few applicant Local visa offices is CPC-M and some applicant file move to Mexico LVO!

MIFI statement “The Department is currently receiving an exceptional volume of family sponsorship cases. As a result, it has become impossible to meet the 25-day deadline set out in the Customer Service Statement.

However, be assured that these delays will not affect the timelines for issuing permanent resident visas to sponsored persons. MIFI and IRCC work together to ensure that your file is processed and visas are issued in a timely manner. Arrangements have also been made so that you do not have to worry about the date of issuance of the Québec Selection Certificate. The MIFI is in charge of making the link with the IRCC.

The Department is currently processing applications received up to:

- July 4, 2019 for a spouse, common-law partner or dependent child;
- July 12, 2019 for other family”

Hi, what numbers did you press after the 1-888 number? I was trying to call since last week but I guess I’m choosing the wrong options, so I’m just going around in circles.

Thank you!
i dont remember exactly which options i choose, but i had to try 2-3 times to get agent on phone and that too after 45 minutes of wait on phone.
so i guess there is no specific numbers we can dial to talk to agent directly.

In that case I will say that CPC Missisauga is a faster processing centre.

My parents are in Singapore but our LVO is CPC M. Got the letter to request PCC yesterday. Parents just finished medical and biometric on 24 and 23rd Sept. Medical was submitted by panel physicians on 26 Sept.
I think cpc m is faster as well as the government putting more human resource working on our cases. But for HK, I think their are recovering from protest.

my relative has to mail the documents to me in Canada by courier first and I consolidate them with the docs i have here and fedex them to HK.

I don’t understand why HK doesn’t accept copies by email or webform like CPC-M does.
I guess it’s because they thought people are cheating on supporting documents.

No fasting required. The check-up is a basic check to see if they are in good health. Any visible signs of illness, listen to their heart, blood pressure, listen to their lungs, etc. The doctor should ask about any known illnesses and what medication they are taking. You can write down all of the medication beforehand and bring the list or just bring the medication if you prefer. They will do a blood test to look at basic things like their white and red blood cells, kidney and liver function, blood sugar and usually testing for some transmittable diseases like HIV,hepatitis, etc. In most countries parents will also be sent for a chest x-ray to see if there is any signs of TB. X-ray would also show other lung diseases. If there is scarring on the lungs you would be asked to give a sputum sample and then repeat the x-ray in 3 months to make sure nothing has changed or gotten worse. The sample will also see if any bacteria or fungus grows in the sputum. This is mostly to look for TB.

thank you so much for the detailed explanation. greatly appreciate it.
