Thanks for the concern.

So as per advise by our beloved @rushi.gada I did call CIC today to check whether my file really had any problem of eligibility or its really under review as mentioned by the previous agent who scared me the other day and not to my surprise I found the file is still at the same stage and has not moved an inch but doesnt have any issue which the other agent was mentioning.

So in short the other agent was threatening me unnecessarily.

Guys beware of this agent named SWALLIONE or something.

I wish everyone speedy PPR!

Since they have made chnages and call center is no longer reachable, That agent might have got some news about his movement/reassignment which he blasted on you.

update from @AGill22 seems both plausible and scary. If that is the case we are hung out to dry!

Talked to agent (Luis) today, very nice response but no solution, he said “An officer didn’t made the decision yet to send you PPR or landing interview “.

I don’t understand this, how long they gonna take? Now this wait is killing...

Tonight is the last good night for the PPR to arrive Tomorrow morning I may sign an offer for a new job, which pretty much locks me in place until next year.. Now would be a great time for a miracle!

I joined new job in July and this the last month for me too before I fully commit to them. I will not be able to leave for a year now. They've been heavily pressuring me this week to make a decision

I'm out of words man.. Just got nothing more to say about Canada. I can't comprehend such gross negligence. I'm pretty much desensitized to feeling anything about it now..

You're certainly not alone bro... this is a difficult time indeed! But hopefully when we're on the other side of this tall fence, it'll all seem like a minor speed bump in hindsight Ups and downs, right? Well, if this is a deep down, guess what comes next..

I'd suggest taking the time now achieving something else you may have always wanted to do in life, or maybe start practicing for interviews. For me that was fitness, and I'm now in the best shape of my life! Things may seem uncertain, but trust me, you don't want to regret having wasted the time you have now, when you finally land in Canada and realize you could have actually used that downtime to benefit your life in other ways..

Some amount of worry or concern is healthy. Stay distracted by keeping busy and do not be consumed by fear!

I spent nearly 8 years in Canada, first as a bachelors student and then as a working professional. I have my friends, my cat, my furniture, essentially my life back there. Due to my WP expiration, I had to move to my home country. Its been more than 7 months now. Yes, it is really frustrating, depressing, emotionally draining and exhausting.

However, life goes on. Let's focus on our work, constructive habits and think of this as a challenging phase in our lives. The night is always the darkest before dawn!

That is if they want me to be in Canada, without any update, I don't even know if they want to reject me or not. What a waste of time. Now that I may lose my current job since I told my boss I will at least have an update in 6-8 months last year. Now boss already starting interviewing new people. Basically I am forced to give up my future in USA for nothing. A big joke if they end up reject or keep pending for one or two years.

I understand. I already had to give up my stay in USA so I feel you. Take it day by day, and as long as all your documentation is solid, there's practically no reason they'd reject you at this stage unless it's something severe like misrepresentation.. They're obviously slow and everyone's feeling it. But when that golden email hits, you're gonna experience some major league catharsis and it's gonna be all worth it It's a PERMANENT RESIDENCE bro.. It's a one time invite for all time. So maybe let it take it's time.. atleast there's some silver lining there

I do get it though.. totally terrible first impression from Canada

It was working until Friday.. a friend of mine had called them. from yesterday the service has been disconnected.

I just got TextNow (free app) and selected 416 area code (Toronto). It gave me a 343 area code (Ottawa).

It let me call the IRCC 888 number for free (it goes over data/WiFi, not cellular minutes) from that Canadian number, in case this helps anyone.

I can confirm that the 613 number 1-1-1 options now refuse to transfer you to IRCC. It says to use the web form; it doesn't even give you the number for IRCC.
