Can I ask how long to expect to receive notification of receipt of the application in Sydney to set up the account online? My & my wife's application was received July 18, 2019. I'm sponsoring her to come from Colombia.

Gracias!
You can check out my profile to see my timeline BUT I can tell you that things have really slowed down since I submitted in March. I know of people into their 3rd month without AOR yet.

Re: Spousal sponsorship - Factors in the genuineness of a marriage

This is the last one (I think). This is from another appeal case (reformatted a bit for easier online reading), but it may be useful in selecting evidence to show that your marriage is genuine:
This post was quite educative. Kindly advice me. I am a Nigerian and my girlfriend is also Nigerian. We shall be getting married in February 2020. As a PR, I intend sponsoring her to Canada. Below are my questions to wit:
1. What steps must I take to sponsor my to-be- wife?
2. Please, how long does it take to get immigration approval for spousal sponsorship?

Guys, please have a look into my E-cas

1. We received your application for permanent residence on June 14, 2019.
2. We started processing your application on August 30, 2019.
3. We sent you medical instructions on August 13, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in
mail delivery before contacting us.
4. Medical results have been received.

I am confused with the second point, does anyone else have this as well. In the account, the background process had started around 22nd Aug and my medicals were also updated but just saw this message that they have "started" processing the application on 30 Aug?!

Any idea?

I had my Medical done on August 16 and haven't received any email that they received the Medical results. But when I checked my Gckey account, it says there that I passed the exam last August 25.

I'm waiting for the next email.

Hi all, I would like to ask you. I already submitted my passport in the beginning of the submitting documents as the instruction from Vfs. After 3 weeks I got pre arrival service in my mail. Nearly 1 month I got the confirmation from High comission about requesting my passport and photo. I wrote my condition that I already submitted my passport and photo. Then they replied : "Visa will be issued and the passport will be returned to Jakarta VAC as soon as it is ready."
From their statement, is it explain that my application is approved?

Hey guys, I really really need some advice here. So our sponsorship documents got submitted in April, 2017 and was returned in March,2018 because we didn't sign 2 forms. My mom had passed not long after and a bunch of other stuff was happening that has caused us to put the application in the backseat. We are now ready send this application back, do we have to fill out new forms, get new visa pictures and other documents updated before we resend? Also, do we have to pay again or do I send the old receipt?

Hi guys!
I am Colombian and I am in the process of sponsorship, my wife is PR in Canada and we have been together for 3 and a half years, we are a same-sex couple and I have several doubts about my process, we are already in the stage of my permanent residence application, but I'm afraid they haven't sent me instructions for medical exams yet, this is my timeline
1. We received xxx application for permanent residence on March 6, 2019.
2. We started processing xxx application on June 11, 2019.
3. We sent xxxx correspondence on July 10, 2019. If xxx has not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please have xxx do so as soon as possible. Please wait until xxx receives the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

I sent everything that was requested to me, including the study of legal antecedents, but for a month and a half that we have not received anything from them, no information of which is the next step, would you please help me if anyone is going through the same, I feel that I am being paranoid :(

You dont have to pay again as the first receipt of payment still covers the bill i think so

Not sure what you mean by "communicating for" your partner. There isn't much communication going on LOL. You file the papers and wait. I think the representative would be a lawyer for people who go that route. Someone else might want to chime in??
I think representative means either consultancy or a personal lawyer who is filing your application. Its not partner. As said above, there is no much communication going on all that you / your partner receive is emails.

You may not hear from them for months. As in 6+ months at a time. If you've sent everything, just be patient.

Hi guys,
How long should we wait after we get our medicals done? I’ve applied for Outland sponsorship visa for my Husband and I am a PR living in Canada. He did his medicals on August 23rd and status has been updated as “medicals received” in his gckey account. Is there any record of getting PR in 6-8 months ?

Send the old receipt. I sent a mixture of older and newer forms with mine without issue BUT others have advised against this. Some things have changed. Print off a new checklist for sure. Maybe better safe than sorry and fill it all out again.
