@legalfalcon

Thank You for creating the group.

I was asked to deposit RPRF on 13 August and uploaded the receipt after depositing the same on 13 August. It has been two weeks and there has been no update in my application/ profile.

As per mail received from MP Ralph's office on 26 August:

Dear LuckyCent – I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Feb 14, 2019. It is at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa.

Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.

Criminality passed.

Eligibility is in progress – recommend pass.

Security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid until Feb 2020.

Sincerely,

Robyn Sullivan

Office of the Hon. Ralph Goodale, MP

Regina-Wascana

Can you please guide regarding my probability of receiving PPR?

@LuckyCent My AOR is
I talked to an agent on Wednesday and asked her to send a message to the Visa officer, which she agreed to send right away. However, I could not trust this officer a bit as she was not friendly and very cold. This was the first time I got such an agent, all the previous ones were super nice. I knew from my previous calls that she can't send that reminder to the visa officer now, so I decided to follow up by calling them again today. I had a long list of questions and was hoping to get a nice and patient agent. Fortunately I got one and the conversation lasted around 40 minutes in total.
I am listing some of the questions here.

1. I asked if they send the message as agreed on Wednesday, the answer was no. I was not surprised at all. When I called them on Aug 15, they told me that my next delay due date is Sep 14 and they could send a reminder only if there is further updates on my profile by that date. So, technically there was no way she could have send a reminder, but why did she agree to do so then is beyond my imagination. I guess its the general trend with these people agreeing to do this they have no intention of doing.

2. Since my eligibility is recommended pass, I asked when can I expect it to be accepted pass by the immigration officer. I was told its a case by case scenario, some gets accepted within hours and some takes weeks. Anyway, I am day on 17 with recommended pass, could be here for a while as per the general trend.

3. Who recommended pass for my eligibility, a program assistant, case analyst or someone else? She could not answer as this is an internal procedure and no information is available to the client support agents on the matter.

4.what are the remaining steps? Eligibility to should be deemed as pass/met. BG check must be done and accepted as pass. then they will send me instructions to get documents to complete my landing.

5.When is the next delay due date? Its given as 22 September. On 15 August, it was 14 September, they just extended it by another 8 days with out doing anything else on the file.

6.Which part is complex/difficult to verify on my application? No information available to her, Only the visa officer can answer this question. As per the system my application is complete, all documents are available and they don't need any information.

7.Is there any point in expecting a result at all? What is the worst case scenario she knows?
She could not comment on this. However, told me that I am not alone in the situation (like I needed her to tell that) and there are more people in similar situation than I can imagine. I just said it doesn't make me feel better, instead I just feel sorry for all of them.

8. Why this entire process doesn't have any transparency? She could not comment on this either.

9. Does these visa officers have any deadlines to follow? are they accountable for missing deadlines? Do they have to answer to anyone for delayed processing of an application? (this was the main question I wanted to ask, I had guessed the answer, I just wanted to hear it from someone on the other end, that's all)
The answer i got is (@curious_furious please take note)
"No, once an application is assigned to an officer, its all in their hands. they will accept it if they feel like they can accept it, they will put it on hold if they feel like they need more time to process it. They might choose application that are easier to process over applications that might take longer to process. They don't have any real deadlines, your dead line was extended by the visa officer without any explanation. So, you can understand, its all down to the visa officer and he will work on an application only when he wants to work on it. Even if we send them reminders they can reply by saying that they still need to double check something or they couldn't verify some information."
Well I kinda knew this already from talking to someone who used work in a VO.

Anyway she is the 4th agent so far to tell me that what the agents tell us is not always true or update information. Some agents sugar coat their words and will try not to disappoint you, some will try not to give you hope. Sometimes, they might not have the latest information because the VO did not update the file also they have no access to the internal processes.
Anyway, I want to believe that last bit, it's been my gut feeling for a while.

To all the Visa officers who don't give a damn about our time, feeling, money, hopes and dreams, I wish you all rot in hell :p You guys have made respect the good for nothing, lazy government employees I have seen in other countries. they are far better than you lot.
@RBV2909 Thanks a lot dear for taking a lot of time writing and providing all this valuable info for everyone. I had some of these questions in my mind n was searching for answers for them but till now no luck as I am not able to connect to an agent via call. I only got info about my status through Ralph Goodale.

Praying God for a PPR rain asap on all of us. God bless us all.

The agent told me that she can provide me the contact link to my visa office, so that I can ask the specific questions directly. She send me an email straight away, but I haven't used it yet because I don't think I will get any real answers from CPC - Ottawa

There was a link which took me to a page that asked for my application details and asked me to type the question. That's all. I am unable to share that link.
The email address provided was the same as the one for general enquiries to ottawa office. They won't answer emails sent to that id. So it wasn't much useful.

Is there a way to highlight delays to IRCC which can force the visa officer to clear up pending cases in their bucket... a Twitter handle may be...
I am thinking of making a open excel sheet where people can fill in their AOR date, latest update on application, country and the agent/VO assigned to( most of us have ordered GCMS notes it shouldn't be difficult to note down)

This way we can get stats on how many cases are pending for a particular officer and probably upload it on some platform for them to see..
Just my suggestion..don't know if it will have an actual impact..

If we can have a count of cases which are taking more than estimated time, it can be brought to the notice of Ahmed D Hussen who is the minister of IRCC. His email ID and contact details are published on his website

One can read wiki page on IRCC and know for a fact that IRCC lacks properly managed client support channels to assist the applicants for their enquiries regarding their applications.

Hi @scylla

Can you please help me with the below concern.

So I resigned from my job on 12th August, 2019 on an immediate effect due to mental abuse by my boss.

I was on a closed work permit + lmia.

My visa expires on 12th Jan, 2020

I am awaiting PPR but wanted to start working legally till I officially get a mail.

So called CIC and found out about this new visa category called “VULNERABLE URGENT OPEN WORK PERMIT” in which they call you for an interview in 5 days to explain yourself about the mental abuse.

I went for an interview today where told the officer about the mental torture and the duties that I did for my boss which were not related to my NOC.

Officer told me that they will get back to me with the decision in an mail.

Interview went for hour and a half.

After I was done and I came out it ring a bell to me that I told the officer that my manager didnt let me do the duties what they hired me for but will that have an adverse effect on my ongoing PR file in which I have claimed this experience.

Draw : 443
My score : 497
Category: CEC Inland
Assume : They link todays statement to my PR application and take off 50 points thinking that I didnt perform as per my NOC. I still end on 447.

OVERTHINKING!!!

I am assuming I am still safe but not sure.

Category : CEC Inland
AOR : 1st Feb, 2019
Medicals : Passed
Criminality: In Progress
Security: Not started
Eligibility: Not started
Reminder sent : 21st August, 2019
Reply came : Please be informed that the file is in the que for review by an officer.

Please advise with your expertise and knowledge whether my todays interview of Urgent Open Work Permit will have any impact on my ongoing CEC PR file.

Completing : 7 months today

Awaiting your reply on this.

Please & Thank You!

I am not an expert but I had the same concern with my application. I applied under FSW category and I was worried they will not accept one of my experiences which will cause me to lose 25 points. Even if I lose those points I am still safe by 2 points. When I asked client support agents they said they cant comment on it as they are not the ones who decides. When I asked fellow applicants, they said it will not be an issue.

My gut feeling is that you are over thinking. even if they deduct 50 points are you not safe? Will it affect the category (CEC)? I don't think they are going to link today's statement with your ongoing application.

Be positive and hopeful, everything will turn out good in the end.
All the best :)

Hi All, I have been a silent follower, but thought I would share my timeline:

AOR - 10th February 2019
MEDICAL - 28th March 2019
BIOMETRICS - 12th April 2019
VISA OFFICE - London (UK)
British citizen living in England

Heard nothing after providing biometrics. Emailed Ralph on 5th August 2019 and was advised "Eligibility and Security checks have not been initiated." Also sent a web form on this date to which I received no response.

Another web form raised around the 10th August 2019 to which I received no response.

1st GHOST UPDATE - 12th August 2019
2nd GHOST UPDATE - 13th August 2019

Sent another email to Ralph on the 13th but was advised to contact again in 3 months.

I was reading through the forum and came across a post by bairn... (sorry don’t remember full name) who had mentioned they had contacted Ralph within the 3 month period and had received another update, therefore emailed Ralph again on 23rd August 2019 apologising for emailing within the 3 month period however, wanted to understand what the 2 ghost updates related to. Received a response from Robyn (Ralph’s office) advising "all assessments (eligibility, criminality, and security) are passed as of August 13, 2019. The file is awaiting final review and decision."

Heard nothing following that so decided to try raising another web form on 30th August 2019 (yesterday), writhing half an hour I received an email advising I have a new message in my account. The message was requesting photo’s and to upload passport photocopy (not required to send passport as we do not need a visa to enter Canada). Will be posting out pictures in the next few days.

Hope this helps others and good luck to everyone who is still waiting. Let’s hope it comes through soon

You need to inform IRCC as soon as you can and mention that you forgot to mention this infornation to them. God forbid you might be charged with misrepresentation if they wanted to
