Hello,

I have a few questions regarding bringing my spouse to Canada. I added him as non-accompanying spouse in my application. I understand that i cannot sponsor my spouse before I land in Canada. Any information on the below is much appreciated:
1) How soon can I start the sponsorship process once I get to Canada and have a Canadian Home Address?
2) Should he apply for Visitor visa and then apply for OWP once there? or is there another option for it?

Hi guys. Can anyone help me with the following question?

My baby passport was going to expire in November, so I got ahead and take a new one for him.
I was expecting CIC to ask for a new password, since validity should be of at least 6 months for travelling.
But I got the PPR email and they didn't ask for a new passport.
Now I'm not sure how to proceed and the communication channels with them is not being responsive.

Should I just send the new passport anyway?
Should I send both new and old passports?
Do anyone knows how to get a response from them about this matter?

ATIP is the law that governs the release of GCMS notes. Request your GCMS notes under ATIP.

Do not apply for a second set of notes before you receive your first set. @MarcioSilva

May I know why second set of notes shouldnt be ordered before receiving first ones? I actually did order second set after waiting for 40 days for the first set that are not received yet.

I heard that when you ask for a second one, the previous one that was being prepared or to be prepared is cancelled since it would be obsolete when compared to your previous request.

I think you should send the old and new passports joined together, it should work I believe. If not, they may send you a new PPR with the details of the new passport.

I need your urgent help about my below notes as I have some worries about my Assessments. I just received my note generated on 25 July

However, I called CIC on 07Aug, the agent told me that my file looks good, everything completed, my background check completed.


My VO is Singapore, I am from HCM, Vietnam, AOR 03 Jan. However, I saw in Assessments part (page 2 of note) that CIC stated “Other requests” for my file. And they added Secondary office visa in HCM in “Application 1” for “Other requests” as below.

My questions:

1. Do you have any experience what is “ Other requests” in Assessment part?

2. It is so strange with my Notes, I don’t see any friends have “Other requests” in their Assessment part – page 2
3. What does they mean in the Application 4 and 5 in my note? Do they mean my file was approved?

My first GCMS note took a month (ordered on Apr 25 and recived on May 28) but I have not got the second GCMS note ordered on June 25 yet.

In my opinion everything is passed which is great and the other rquests could be the passport request (ppr). The best way to know is to give them a call within 3 hours from now, you will be between the first callers for today! Good luck.

The thing I dont understand is that, if everything passed since 25th of july where is the ppr? I think you must call them and try to figure out at which level is your application.
